Mage armour

Sooo, I just hit 70 defence, and I want to upgrade from my mystic. My mage level is 99. I can easily get more defence levels if you think there is a better option at a higher level. I've been looking at Robes of subjection, according to RSwiki its the 'bandos armour for mages'.

Anyone throw me some insight?

 

Personally I prefer Ganodermic, it will require you to gain 5 more defence levels which should not take to long It is also the 3rd strongest mage armour and is relatively cheap Although it does have to be repaired!

 

robes of subjugation imo, doesn't need repairing so you'll save money in the long run

 

I'd also suggest robes of subjuagtion, doesn't look bad either. Full set is around 13M I think at the moment.

 

Price isn't an issue, how much does it cost to repair Ganodermic? And how often would i need to repair it?

I know robes of subjuagtion looks good, but i don't have a skill cape that will look good with it

sub is crap in my opinion when I used to vs gano kids I used to always get wrecked

 

Bearing in mind I want this armour for slayer/charm farming/ defence leveling with ancients. Should have included this in the op.

I'm considering getting both.

Its like 15m for both sets, its the bandos thats gonna set me back

Ganodermic is worth it for the defence and lp boost. It's a lot better stat wise also, but it raises your combat by 5 levels.

 

The robes seems to save more money in the long run and I would suggest you use it.

Gano is decent too if you cannot afford robes out front.

 

I use Ganodermic, it'll have to completely degrade more than 6 times for the cost to match Robes of Subjegation and it provides amazing defense and lifepoints. I'm sure you can hit 90 Defense in 60 hours of Dagonnaths at 200-300k xp an hour. Go for the Gano, it's cheaper for the purpose you stated. Personally I leveled Defense on Icefiends though, a total of about 700k was used on Royal Bolts since I afk'd it, 86-90 in two days. Currently leveling Magic to 90 on Dags now that I finally finished getting 95 Prayer.

 

Gonna buy both sets, use sub for grinding and gano for stuff Like fight caves or bossing.
