Highly likely that is the dongle, I've never personally got on with those. If you think RS would be bad on one, I used to raid on WoW with one.

Try turning your graphics on RS down? Perhaps play in fixed mode with minimum deatils.

    Rs lag

A lot of people get confused between 'lag' and bad framerates. Though that a computer with that hardware shouldn't have a problem. I find that the 'software' setting gives me a choppy game, so I use the DirectX setting..

And if it's actual internet lag, do you lag on other games?

I'd try the non webclient, might make things a little smoother as it isn't Java based.

I use a USB modem for wireless broadband and I've never had any issues.

    Is your service speed capped?

Trust me, it will be the dongle, it goes by the phone signal, if your mobile is on 3, your sharing the same internet signal as your phone, your laptops internet will be the same as you phones.

Dongles were made for browsing the internet and e-mailing as you go not gaming.

I'm on prepaid also. In my case the higher the recharge purchase the faster your internet is.

As I said above, I use one and I can RS + YT + DL + stream with no lagg at all.

Well it's definitely not your laptop causing the lag. Upgrade your internet connection.

It'll be your internet, however I have shocking internet connection yet I can still manage to run RS on HD on 2 accounts + at once.
