Need help.. 5m reward!

I'll just lay down brief and simple the situation I'm in.:

-I have an email registered on my runescape account.
-I've forgotten the password to this email account and can not for the life of me recover it. (it is a hotmail account and absolutely nothing seems to work).
-I would like to change my password on my runescape account.
-To do so, an email must be sent to my lost-email-account.

.... How do i de-register/change my email on my runescape account?!

What i've tried so far:
-Manual recovery on the forums --> no reply, no inbox, nothing.

Tell them that your son has forgotten his password to his e-mail, provide them with your recovs, creation ISP, creation date, the e-mail currently registered, any other relivent information.

They should remove the e-mail for you to do a manual recovery, then you can add a new e-mail.

 

Will try this as we speak. Why must i make up a story about 'my son' has forgotten it?
and how long can i expect them to take to reply roughly, do you know? have you ever had any success with this method?

 

Do what Humpo said, however post it on the official RS forums. There is a specific thread for account help, detailing what info they need from you, in order to process your request.

Edit: Don't say it's your sons account or anything, no need.

 

Its the same as e-mailing them normally except your going to the e-mail specifically for parents, thats why you want to make up some BS about your son, else they will just give you the standard e-mail address.

Last time i e-mailed them took 3 hours for my reply, and they just asked for more info, so expect this to take a day or 2, but its faster than a week or 2 with the standard e-mail.

 

Have already done this with no luck.

Just to clarify what i've been saying and make everything a bit clearer.

This is the post about e-mails having passwords forgotten or someone else setting a e-mail to your acc ect. They tell everyone to e-mail '[email protected]', therefore, they get hundreds, if not thousands of e-mails a day.

Though you can e-mail '[email protected]', but if your going to e-mail them you will want to say its your son's account, if you don't chances are they will just ask you to e-mail '[email protected]' all you need to do is the exact same process as e-mailing the accounthelp e-mail, just sending it to the parents e-mail instead and instead of refering to yourself, you refer to your child/son/daughter.

Humpo you did a great job with that post lol. There is another method of recovery via Runescape website in the forums section. It is pretty discreet nowadays but still there.

 

The one where you post the info into a thread on the forums but only mods can see it? Thats just as slow as e-mailing them at their accounthelp e-mail

 

Yeah that one, it is even slower on some occasions but if the email one fails, its a good idea to try that method

Last time i used that method it took ~3 weeks?

 

How did you get a response? was it via email..? or ingame inbox?

 

They post on the thread my reply was like 'Hey Host Humpo, your account has had it's e-mail address removed and you are now able to perform a manual recovery.'

You literally have to check the forums through all threads day after day.

Yeah and with the ammount of people posting per day, its dreadful.

 

there was like 10 new pages a day when i was checking back up on mine!
