Quotes inafter lock

I suggest we allow users to quote posts after the thread is locked. It won't let them open a "new reply" window, but maybe it can save the quote to their clipboard when they hit the "quote" button in a locked thread, where it can then be pasted where ever they need it. This would be very useful for market users to get vouches off old threads, help users to gather scam report information off old threads, etc and so forth. EDIT: And quotes from archive threads too

 

Yeah this would be cool to get some of FireZ derogatory remarks quoted and put into our sigs. Support.

In all seriousness, it is a minor thing but it would be quite practical.

Could this be done for threads that were archived but not locked? Or are all archived threads locked as well?

I do support this suggestion as there have been numerous times I wish I would be able to quote locked and archived threads, however, I do not think this suggestion will be approved due to the administrators being busy.

You can do it manually if you really want.

A quote tool would be quite handy though, although I doubt we'll see this because admins can't seem to get anything done past adding or moving around forums.
