    Restriction to view things

    My idea is to allow users to have restrictions they can put on some of their content in their thread. For example, if someone was selling an Xbox Account and only wanted to trade more reputable users, they could put their Skype in their thread but have it to be only viewable by 500+ post users.
    I was looking around and a lot of threads state 'Only trading with trusted members'. This would be extremely helpful for this situation.

    Not sure if it's possible to do it for posts, but I'm sure you could at least make it that the viewer had to be registered to view it.

    It could look something like this:

    [RESTRICT]insertskypehere[RESTRIST="500"]

    500 referring to the amount of posts, and if you just put 0 that would mean the user only had to be registered to view.

    EDIT: I was just reading this thread, and this would help in his situation: http://www.sythe.org/feedback/1526331-scammers.html

    Also, before people say "post count doesn't determine trust".
    Would you trust someone with 2000 posts with 3 vouches or someone with 20 posts with 3 vouches of the same quality?
    Don't say that it doesn't, it annoys me when peoples say that.

    No support, just have the seller deem who is trustworthy and who isn't. Post count isn't really even a show of trust anyways, it's the vouches and their quality that show that.

    i like the idea but i don't think it is easy to implement.
    however i will say support because it's a nice idea if it is possible.

    EDIT:
    Postcount != Trust

    I knew someone was going to say that post count doesn't determine trust. Honestly, it sort of does. That just annoys me when people say that. Would you trust someone with 2000 posts with 3 vouches or someone with 20 posts with 3 vouches of the same quality?

    I'd trust neither of them and if I weren't significantly trusted like I am currently then I'd definitely be looking for a Middleman if I were to engage in a trade with them.

    I get what you mean but even then it's the content of the posts more than the number. If you are there for the community or something and are actively helping them out then the individual may get more trusted than their vouches would indicate but if they were all troll posts then where does that leave you?

    I'm sure if they were all troll posts then they would be banned from infractions. 2000 posts doesn't happen overnight, so the person with that amount of posts would must have spent a fair bit of their time on Sythe. This would tell me that their account is pretty valuable to themselves so why waste all their time building their post count just to scam? I'm sure there are still people who would waste their efforts just to scam, but it would be a lesser number.

    This would also prevent the amount of imposters adding people, as they are probably mostly unregistered or have very low post counts.

    I'd have to say this falls under the Do Not Suggest list, "Post count limitations/requirements"

    But I'm not going to autodeny it because Sythe already ignored that DNS with his veteran/oldfag spam forum, so maybe he'll be inclined to add this too.

    I see where you are coming from, however this could be emulated by simply having the interested people having to PM the OP for his skype and from there he could manually decide whether to trade them or not. There are a few people (albeit a small group) that are trustworthy but don't have many posts.

    This could be good as mostly if people have more than 100 posts they have a few vouches, so it's a start. Would stop people from trading with newcomers if they didn't want to, so it be a bit safer. Support.

    Would be good if you could determine whether or not unregistered users can view your contact details. I wouldn't put requirements for registered users though.

    I don't think it's worth it; To tell you the truth, post count for instance mean nothing at all. With vouches, at the end of the day, it only matters who the vouches come from, and what they are for; You can have 100 free training vouches, or 15 for 1B+ trades; Which one would you rely on more?

    The problem with posts and vouches is that not the quantity, but the quality matters.

    Therefore I'm going to say no support.

    We don't have a like system here nor the thanks, and the post to see method would just mean more spam in the community, fake thanks, fake likes, and other unnecessary shit, to be honest.

    Just like the staff-only visible tag, I like this idea.

    This could be useful having, again as long as it doesn't create security risks.

    Going to have to go with no support on this one..

    What would stop the users that don't meet your requirements from just sending you several PM's to get your attention?

    If you don't want users you don't trust to message you just don't post your contact info on the thread.

    I think this is the main issue with it. Security risks. I would love to have hide tags, but apparently it produces a HUGE security risk. I don't know if they has been patched or not, but I'd rather not get phished.

    Can someone enlighten me on why it produces big security risks?
    Also, it wouldn't have to be a post count restriction, it could just mean you had to be registered to view the content.
