I'm confused ~_~

When i look on threads i find certain people banned, and yet they have managed to post. Does this mean they have recently been banned, or have they been banned for swearing or something like that . I also don't understand the sign trade with caution.... I presume that is just a tip as i saw someone have it and was a 500+ donator. Please help :/ cheers

 

How long ago was the post? When a member is banned his posts don't get removed. And banned people can't post.

TWC means exactly that, take extra precautions when trading people with the rank.

 

People that were banned and got unbanned will keep the ban sign until they post somewhere that gives post count.

 

^ For example, you can post in donor loung/Spam forum and keep the Banned sign, you don't gain post count there, also when a user is given a TWC an issue occured in which it was reported to the staff that prompted a Trade with Caution action. Some notable users have obtained TWCs, but they are still trustworthy, it's just sythe showing respect by treating everybody equal.

Answered. People who are banned and have posted have most likely posted BEFORE getting banned, or you didn't clear your cache and therefore still see people as "banned". Sythe.org saves resources by caching pages you've already viewed so it doesn't have to load a fresh copy every time you look at a thread, it just has to append new posts or edits into the page you already have saved to memory. If you clear your cache (located in the "Tools" section of most browser programs), all pages will be refreshed, and unbanned users will no longer appear banned.

Trade With Caution is for users who act shady or have pending scam reports against them.

Swearing isn't against the rules, but "flaming" or excessively insulting users outside the spam forum IS. You'll get an infraction if you flame (among other things), and if you collect 5 infractions, you'll earn a ban for 3 days.
