Let Downs?

What has been a movie that you were looking forward to and that looked like it was going to be really good but when you watched it, it was really dumb

 

Savages. There was no plot, no climax, nothing. Was a waste of time. Only positive thing was that it had Blake Lively, and well, she's stunning.

 

Yea I also expected more from Savages.

Deadfall, seemed like it was a good movie, but it wasn't as good as i thought it would be :/.

Dredd: totally not what i expected it to be, was kinda shocking when i saw Lena Headley's(beautiful woman) face all messed up & scarved.

 

Sopanos as a tv show

Ted - the commercials I thought looked hilarious but the parts they showed on the commercials were the only funny parts in the whole movie. IMO

Taken 2 - was expecting more out of it

I know there's a lot more movies I just can't think of them all ATM.

 

Project X fell short of my expectations. That film was just stupid.

 

The Book of Eli: The ending was submissive and anticlimactic.

I'm a huge movie buff and my list would be never ending, so yea.. lol.

 

Crank 2 High Voltage.
Big let down in my opinion the first crank was awesome. The second one was not so good. The second one just kinda looked like kids directed it the graphics were awful and it really made no sense to me.

 

Honestly, Skyfall. Don't get me wrong, it was a decent movie but it didn't live up to the hype imo.

 

All Pirate of the Caribbean sequels lol.

 

Any movie that gets really good and then the ending just makes you mad because of the constant overuse of everything having a happy ending.

One movie in particular I remember is The Darkest Hour. You make a movie about light/energy-looking aliens disintegrating pretty much anything living that they can sense, even going as far as having someone's mistake causing them to kill the only guy who's managed to make weapons to defend against them, only to have them randomly sailing away in a submarine or whatever at the end. Seriously?

It seems like a lot of movie makers just slap on happy endings to make you feel good, no matter how ridiculous they are.

That's with a lot of sequels, although I like the Pirate ones. Most of them can't compare to the originals or it seems that they just try too hard to make them better or just milk the franchise.

 

The 'The Hangover 2' was considered a letdown by many.
Also, 'Fighter'. That movie could be described in one word. CRAP.

 

I wouldn't really say that about the hangover 2 - They are basically the same movie imo
