DDoSing

I'm sick and tired of pathetic faggots dropping my net/DDosing me whenever I give my Skype username out. I'm not the biggest IT, but how do these losers grab my IP and drop my net?

 

I believe it is from a Skype Resolver. All they need is your skype ID and they can get your IP. I don't think there is a whole lot you can do about it I'm afraid.

 

Get a new ISP or call them and tell you're being DDosed

ISP means Internet Service Provider. You don't want to switch providers due to DDoSing, you just want a new IP. The problem with Skype Resolvers however is that they could just use it again and get your new IP and you'd be back at square one.

 

Use a VPN if you're getting DDoSed that often.

 

I would say don't give out your Skype name any more. Any twat that can Google can get a Skype resolver and any one with 1$ can get a booter if you get ddosed again I would say turn of your router for 15mins and it will reset your ip and make sure to delete them of skype! Hopefully they will get board and stop.

 

A private Skype has its advantages. But at the same time it also means you have to choose who you're going to add on Skype. My advice is just don't publicly list it and have people PM you for it or you can just add their Skype. It reduces the chance unless you're being personally targeted by someone.

Some companies allow you to change your static IP if you ring them. Generally it has a fee attached. However, it's rare to find companies that do that.

why would people ddos you? i have never experienced a ddos against me.
btw, not much people are able make do a decent ddos attack.

i think you might just have a crappy connection. and if that's the reason then you'd better just update your network speed.

Don't know to be honest. I've been doing a few more trades than I normally do, but I've stopped trading now because I have everything I need.

 

Have you actually got DDoSed / is it frequent? If you're not an active trader/staker anything of that sort you really have nothing to worry about. Even if you were one of the above mentioned it would still be a rare occurrence.

Make sure the patch worked and your IP is no longer accessible.
Then contact your ISP to change your IP.

Edit: It seems that most resolvers are broken anyways due to recent patches, so it might be safe just to change your IP.

 

I am not an active trader, but the past week, I have been doing some trades with some of the newer members of Sythe buying RSPS gold.

 

Skype with the latest patch does not allow your I.P to be shared around. Best to just change your I.P via your ISP now.
