Disallow use of Adf.ly links

Adf.ly and every other fucking redirect scam buisness that gives you $2 a click. Annoying and generally promotes uninteresting spam. Should be infractionable just like posting warez links (although i think warez links was a 2 week ban)

 

i thought they already were disallowed? or is that just for adfly links in ebooks/guides?

I am not sure why you're raging so hard, but people do post them outside of the spam forum. Any time I have ever used adf.ly or any sort of links like that on Sythe I always warned the people then I would give a non-adf.ly link. I think out of common courtesy if you are going to give an adf.ly link you should also give a non-adf.ly link. Not everyone wants to line someone's pockets because they're interested in a link they posted. It is highly intrusive to the browsing experience.

Should be infractable, if we click on the link they are making money, in a way its like a referral link. I can post my referral links to several websites I am apart of that I earn money from when users click them or even sign up on them, but if I did I would get infracted. Why should this be any different...

Those accounts would have been created with or without ad.fly if you put a redirect to the registration.

 

I'm not raging, lately it seems like everyone and their mother are trying to make useless rules just for the sake of making a rule. Do you think new members wan't to come to this forum and have to be worried about not breaking 300 rules and getting banned or infracted? If you don't have the self control to avoid adf.ly links there's a problem just don't click them it's that simple. A few days ago grave was suggesting all links be adf.ly link and all of you where hoping on the bandwagon and supporting it but now you want to make a rule not allowing them at all?

 

I don't ever click on anything so I'd assume no. it's your fault.

 

If someone selling an account posted an adf.ly link to view the account info then people would click it or stuff because theyre interested in the account.

Example---
-[Title] Nearly Maxed Main with Tons or wealth
-[Inside] Im selling my nearly maxed main with tons of gold. Check out its stats and wealth @adf.ly______

Moderators or people would have to click it eventually as pictures are required and would need to be checked eventually.



Its not always avoidable, but mabye if it was only in certain sections that it wasnt allowed.

Example, allowed in places that arent selling a product but are for fun or w/e, but in sale threads make it not allowed.

 

These are certainly irritating, and I don't click them whenever I see it because fuck the person who posts it.
