    Powerbot memory hog?

Does powerbot usually use up so much memory?
Its using 500,000 to 600,000 K for me...

Seems like heaps, Ive got 4gb ram, and task manager says 75% of physical memory is in use when running 2 bots...

    Powerbot memory hog?

    It really depends on
    1) The amount of stuff going on on RS
    2) What you have CPU ussage set to on RS
    3) Mostly on what script you are using and how well it was coded

It would be best to ask a question like this at the PB forums to get better insight into it though.

You should check out this program too:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
Task manager alternative with way more details etc so you can see exactly how much CPU and RAM a program is using.

    Powerbot memory hog?

Shouldn't be PB, I don't have any troubles with it.
Put the default settings for graphics on the lowest possible, that'll enlighten a lot.
Basically what Yohojo said, a combination of those

That doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't have memory leaking etc just because 'you' don't have troubles with it though.

    Powerbot memory hog?

What's the task of the script? If your character is just running around on a small area such as smithing ores at the Edgevile furnace and then banking/withdrawing from the bank nearby then it should only eat an amount of 100K to 150K of RAM memory usage. Otherwise, if the script does multiple tasks such as travelling into the dungeon, involves teleportation and running around long distant places then it is just normal to have a memory consumption of 500K to 600K.

Minimizing the bot client should lower the memory used somewhat. Also try using a memory cleaner, it could be a memory leak.

Everything depends on that what are you botting, the more people are in the area you botting the more ram your computer will use
