I still give no support to this, we already pay via paypal/RSGP, people have a hard enough time converting to these when they don't have them.

I've got to support this. How can this ever be negative? This is what splits us from the rest. We need to move forward; do stuff others haven't. This'd be a great idea. Full support from me

 

Looks like a good idea, as long as only LR WU etc are used to add funds.

But then it would result in people scamming in exchange services where they get paid Paypal to upload funds.

Big fat support, it's weird how a TON of forums have this system and we dont, it wouldn't do any harm, it'd just make things safer as far as I am aware.

 

Sounds good to me although I haven't spent much time thinking about it. It could potentially help solve alot of problems with scams and what not.

There's no problem in this area.

This is security that you're just not going to find in online gaming trades.

There is no "legal" action you can take against a RuneScape trade in most most most cases, and even if Sythe had "100% scam proof" and reversed it, there would be problems.

Say they'd spent that money and blame Sythe for taking it back. No matter what you're doing, you don't want a bank coming after you, especially without a license to operate in this area.

The reason we can only accept donations is because they can't be taken back. Richard doesn't have the paypal account for transactions, that takes money and a physical site of operations.

People should only be able to put money in their sythe wallet via a method that absolutely cannot be charged back.

If the site gets hacked then Sythe gets F****D UP.
Ive seen a notice of arcus's site getting hacked which from what i though at a first glance was very secure

 

Surely if the d2jsp forums can do it - Sythe can.

It's not being considered.

Personally I think this is a terrible idea.
A. We don't need to put 24 hr holds on things so trades take days.
B. Staff shouldn't have to sort through all the disputes over wallets in here.
C. This will never happen. We don't need our own currency.

B. You have to dispute scams so why not?
C. why not? it would help clear many scams up and effectively shorten the amount of time wasted on reports.
