How to Quit Smoking.

Eh i used to smoke a pack a day for 2 and a half years then one day quit cold turkey. Wasn't that hard for me too do.

 

went about a week with only 1 or 2 smokes. This easier said then done.

 

Ive been smoking for 4 years and drink 5-6L water a day, so this drink h2o concept is an every day thing for me, it wouldn't be so easy.
Also, I for one am used to smoking when is stress situation and suhc; You are also able to smoke in public in my country, so it isn't that hard to find a place.
I actually wonder whether you yoursel have smoke and if so for how long, because I feel you underestimate the hardness of putting smoking down actually.

I have been smoking since 14. Smoking is pretty much the only way i know how to deal with stress=P. You can't smoke inside here so its kind of a bummer to go outside in like -27c weather. You also can't be within 9 feet of some places as well.

 

We have those kinda things as well, but this year's lowest was -11c, where do you live? :O That sure is a cold temperature.
I can smoke at home (in kitchen it's good for smoking), and yeah; When I'm not home, I'm already on the streets (and when driving car I just roll down the window and smoke that way)

We have like you can't smoke whatever feet away from bus stops, in restaurants, clubs (which is ridiclious imo) and some other places, as well.

 

It's not as simple as '' just don't ''. there has to be something stimulating you.

 

Know a few people that use those E-cigarettes or whatever they're called, perhaps add something in about them?

 

I tried that myself, it's even worst. Because when you are indoors, you smoke your electronic cig, when you go out, you still take out that cig and smoke it, therefore people who do it usually smoke 24/7, really.

Not to mention E-Cigarettes are even more unhealthy than regular ones.

 

E-lights are alright if you manage to stop buying fags. If you have the problem of using the e-light inside and smoking properly outside you're still screwed.

 

Thanks man read this a few days ago, I work outside where I am able to smoke nonstop, the water is a good replacement, not only that but my skin loves it,

I had my brothers tease me with cigs for days untill i was finally able to be in the same room as those who are smoking,

you should be the fuckin surgeon general.

 

Good guide people don't realize how much it is mental once the nicotine is out of your system.

Only advice I can give is to see a damn doctor if you want to quit. Every second smoker and his dog will want to tell you how to get over it, none are medically trained.

Wow this guide seems pretty nice... I'm always curious as to what it would feel like to be addicted to cigarettes, alcohol, drugs or whatever. I hope I am never in that situation but I just wanted to note that every smoker I know (cigarettes) -wants- to quit smoking... I find it odd that it is apparently that hard.

I pretty much always get my good friends to quit drinking and smoking and I'm proud of that fact. Maybe they do it just to shut me up =]. Perhaps having an annoying friend who rags on you for your smoking would be a good thing to have =].

 

the guide seems alright, maybe i should give it a shot tho to attempt to quit smoking. my only addiction is smoking and i have my moments that i can smoke nearly a packs of cigarretes a day. i think it's 3rd most addicted if i am not mistaken. i've never did drugs (besides smoking 2-3x weed) and never did alchohol so i don't know how that feels, i can understand it's really difficult to quit for the people that might or have an addicition.

just don't smoke, i've been in a stupid situation like when your young in teen age you find it cool to smoke with friends or having a girlfriend that smokes and stuff. but because of that i am smoking because i need the nicotine

 

Keeping yourself busy is a good way, preferably in a positive manner so you don't stress yourself out and having to smoke a ciggarrete.

 

Isn't a good way to start chewing gum, or sucking mints regularly? Btw, nice guide.

 

Great tips, I myself am not a smoker, just smoke when I'm out and about although heavily, I think we shouldn't judge life by how long we live but by what we do during those years we do live, with that being said do you want to say you spent most your life in hospital to treat you for some sort of courages endeavour you were going through with your friends...

 

Everytime I've managed to quit (for the short amount of time less than a week usually) i've just disabled myself, later on enabling myself of course by going and getting more smokes.. Though I believe all it comes down to is shear willpower.
