Messaging system (not a shoutbox[?])

Elaborate on that, this is entirely a new problem, no one has come up with this before. What add-on, and how does it function?

 

An add-on such as Firebug. It basically lets you change any coding on the page (which can be used to change text as well. All you have to do is right click whatever you'd like to change and click "Inspect with firebug"; then you could change it to whatever you want.

You can do that by saving a webpage to your desktop, editing the code with notepad and opening it back up with a browser. I don't see how changing someone's post message is a security issue. We've already concluded that the chat logs would be encrypted on whatever server the IM system is being hosted on. If you can prove that this program you mentioned can hack into something like the PM system (which the IM system would be just as secured), then it would be cause for worry. Otherwise, I don't see the risk.

 

from what I understood from the OP, I think it is a great idea, but usually if you are hacked the hacker has a keylogger on your computer and will hack your sythe account too, lol, otherwise great

 

It's not so much to eliminate hackers, it's to eliminate people who make MSNs and Skypes that imperceptibly resemble that of an influential market user and trick people into thinking they're, say, R2Pleasant or something. It also eliminates fake OMM scams. Same deal, but someone impersonates an OMM, takes whatever is being traded, and the scammer and fake OMM make off with the profit.

 

This would be great, I know for IPBoard there is a plugin for a chat sort of thing. This isn't IPB though, but surely it's possible.
www.thetechgame.com also has one, which works fantastic. It's very similar to facebook's chat, and you add friends and they appear in your list in the chat.

I think this would work amazingly. 100% support.

Bump for exposure, is this even being considered or is it just gaining post count here? Not noticing any difference apart from feedback on the whole concept (which would be completely useless if the system wouldn't be implemented in the first place).

 

MSN's being shut down, everyone's moving to skype, and a lot of imposter accounts will be made. This would stop it all. Support to the max.

 

If this could be implemented I'm up for it and would use it.

I've broken no rules as every post of mine which does not contribute to the topic (E.G. bumps) are 8 hours apart. The exposure is obviously not for any more feedback as this already has 197 supporting posters, minus 70 of my own posts, minus maybe 10 or so non-supports. The exposure is for administration to be reminded of the idea, and either deny or accept it soon. So until they decide to rule on the idea, I'm going to keep bumping for exposure
