Advice!? Please?!

So Iam new to the virtual trading scene and maybe iam just being paranoid but heres my situation.

Iam trading TF2 Earbuds for RSGP and the other trader is telling me for some reason he cant log into his RS account. So hes asking me to log onto it via my IP for him, and take the GP that we agreed upon. Can this is anyway backfire on me? Can he accuss my IP of hacking him? Can he use my IP to hack me back? cause once i log into his account itll tell him my IP via last log in info?

Maybe iam just being paranoid but i would greatly appreciate any wisdom and feedback to if this is a legit plan of if i should run away..

From what I know, it is safe to do so. The worst they can do is to DDos you which can be solved but changing your IP through your ISP.

 

The only issue that could be caused (other than them DDoSing you, which to DDoS one person would be an enormous waste of resources) is a report through Jagex in an attempt to get your account banned.

Since Jagex logs IPs logging in could cause action from jagex, but not the user themselves.

And since giving your password to someone is frowned upon but not bannable, I think you should be fine.

 

Your fine just make sure you have recovery questions set

 

do not. why would you let somebody else log in to your computer.
your ip might get flagged by Jagex

 

Logg in via a proxy, or hide your IP via your DNS. Then you´ll be safe.

 

This advice goes to all situations like this - TRADE WITH CAUTION.

 

Uhm go to a Cafe shop or something, because they could take your IP
