HELP Please.. is this a potential scam>?

Ok so iam new to this whole trading virtually thing and maybe iam just being paraniod but heres my situation.

Iam trading TF2 Earbuds for RSGP.. The trader says he cant log into his RS account to trade me the RSGP for some reason? (red flag) so hes asking me to go on his account via my computer (my IP) to make the trade my self and only take what the deal was for. Can this back fire on me in anyway? could he report my IP hacked him? could he get access to my IP cause it tells you last IP loged in from? any way this could screw me of am i just being paranoid..

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated THANKS!

do not accept him to log on your computer with his account for several reasons.

    1. never accept teamviewer
    2. if his ip was flagged by Jagex then your ip gets flagged also because he logs in with his account on your computer.
    3. he probs is a scammer

There is one rule I always maintain.
Do not let anybody on your computer, especially not with programmes like Teamviewer.
They can damage alot then :p

Yeah, really don't do that. If he wants to make the trade, tell him to go to a library.

.... he is asking you to log into his account. I don't see a problem with that except a DDoS case on your IP.

The only bad thing is that he will have your IP, that's it.

If you use a Proxy, I don't see any real issue with it to be honest as he doesn't have access to your computer. It does sound extremely fishy though that you could access his account, but he can't.

Ask someone to borrow a vps to do the trade maybe? Or as the people above said use a proxy to log in. If you need a vps to use, I may be able to help as I currently have one, pm me if you wish.

It's not a good idea to use TeamViewer... I've been burned with it in the past, I'd recommend telling him to use a VPN.
