The future of Rs Gambling/Gold prices

If Jagex wanted to they could easily ban 90% of gambling clan hosts, it's not like they can't just go into w2 and look at who's open and just ban them. The reason is a large proportion of RS are gamblers and if you took away gambling and replaced it with some dodgey Jagex 'Casino' or whatever they would lose a large amount of their active players who also subscribe.

If gambling was to be abolished somehow I still think people would prefer clans than using an ingame mechanism and IRC would just become much bigger than it already is.

 

They will create a way for players to play a skill based high risk/high reward miningame.

They are not making a alternative way to do 50/50 gambling etc. They will not make content where players can gamble vs one another that is based on luck and 50/50 odds. It will be based on skills and tactics. Once the gamblers understand this they will go back to Duel Arena or stick to IRC dicing.

They never actually said that they would be making a high risk/high reward system, they could possibly implement that as well as a standard 50/50.

 

Don't get me wrong, I don't think you guys rig the irc, but if every clan has to irc dice, im sure alot of clans would rig the irc (make them win big bets here and there) we aren't really talking about the irc dicing out now im talking about the irc dicing that would be out later, with... lets say 15+ clans having to use it?

 

dicing will not comeback. People flower because it on runescape, and its fast. Players are not going to go out of their way to dice with a program they probably wont trust. Also when you streak people they are going to think your cheating...

If jagex actually does something like that, and makes it Jagex gambling depending on how well they inter-grade the update and how it works, it might ruin the bigger dice clans, as it "Might" be the same deal 50/50 etc. or whatever, and there would be NO need to gamble outside the official Jagex gambling game or whatever.

OT: If this update is released properly and mannaged well i could see gold prices dropping quite a bit as it would be a fail safe way of gambling without ever getting scammed (obviously dragon dyce or cora woudn't scam you but for people who just flower with the random people, it would remove the "Fear factor"
