Is this rumor true? "Flowers will be taken away in a month"

and if so, what will happen?

I meant to ask what do you think will happen to the gambling scene on Runescape.

 

i seem to remember jagex saying they were in the process of creating a high risk gambling type minigame. so people could still gamble without the risk of being scammed

 

I remember someone saying ages ago that Jagex was going to take mithril seeds out of the game. Jagex doesn't like Gamblers but they won't take away from them due to a lot of people playing simply to gamble or host, etc. If they took gambling away it would be taking a chunk of their players/revenue away.

Ideally it would be good but I doubt it would ever happen as Runescape is officially a game without age restrictions so they don't want to officially support gambling which is an adult theme.

 

No legit source as of yet, I've only hearsay. If anyone finds one let us know @.@'

 

I have heard this rumor also, only time will tell. I hope it does get removed.

 

They were planning to add something so you could gamble, someone posted a link to a interview with some people from Jagex a long while back. They said they were going to work on something so that people couldn't be scammed while gambling.

Perhaps they will just make it so that some sort of NPC system that will hold the bet and the potential winnings, and then create some options through that NPC for the host to select to depend on what game is played. Maybe they can incorperate H/C, Frosty flowers ect into a NPC with some sort of cutscene with the flower growing.

Jagex are going to bring in their own gambling system. Unless it works like the current, the clans will stay alive. Unless you're a host with a clan that does itc dicing aswell as flowers you're screwed, as they probably won't survive if flowers get taken away. However, dragon Dyce and a few other big ones will.

Jagex is going to be implementing their own form of gambling theoretically trying to remove gambling outside of "it"

They won't make it a casino or something, they don't want to appear to be encouraging children to gamble..

Ideally (in my own head) it would be something simple like a chest where you put gp into. You then have a 50% chance of doubling that money, and a 50% chance of it disappearing. This would probably take some gold out of the game and help with inflation.

Knowing Jagex though they will do something with the current bh system and call it 'high risk fun" or some shit.

 

Absolutely not, Jagex does not encourage or support gambling at all so no chance that they will implement their own gambling system.
OT: it is highly likely that this will happen as I remember jagex mentioning that they will do w/e they can to stop gambling.

I think the new gambling system will throw a lot of scammers off balance. I am for removal of flower games
