Prison Treatment.

I definitely think some people should be treated worse than sleeping beside a toilet, for instance the ones the gang-raped the woman in India. They should be locked up and tortured to death as a deterrence to other criminals.

I'm not too sure about prisons in other parts of the world, but here in Northern Ireland, prisons are very cushty, the only deterrence is actually being away from the family. People actually quite enjoy being in prison - I did.

Some of the people i met could have done with a rougher treatment while inside, prison done absolutely nothing for them. They were re-offending within days of getting out. Let them sleep beside a toilet for a while and be allowed to eat nothing but bread and water rations. Then they might think again before committing another offence.

 

Prison is a waste of time and money. When the idea of penitentiaries came about from the puritans (these being different than dungeons), they gave people the bare minimum to live and locked them in stone cells 24 hours a day to ask god for forgiveness for their crimes. There were fewer people who became career criminals back then, but now people go into prisons and come out better criminals. They get to network with people who have been there a bunch and they get taught how to commit crimes better. I vote we go back to hard labor, because as it stands we are feeding, clothing, housing, and entertaining a mass of criminals on our tax dollars. They get TV, decent food, free housing, and everything they need all for free. Prison should only be reserved for the worst of criminals and repeat offenders and then they should be locked up 24 hours a day. The petty criminals could do hard labor for the government and get paid a small sum as they do now.

Suck it up, you killed someone, you deserve to be in situations like that.
Prisons aren't meant to be Hotels. They are meant to teach people that if they CONTINUE to live a life of crime, that thats where they will end up again. Now if you're in the for life or something, well then too bad.

I'd have their penis' cut off.
Sorry for being so blunt, but that crime is unforgivable.

 

Not everyone that goes to jail is their for "killing" most are their for minor crimes but serving months to years

 

The people that are in jail for minor reasons should get "tips" on getting a cell, and the people that are in there for serious murder n' shit fuck them let them sleep outside for all i care.

There is a difference between committing a crime, and being scum.

Personally prison is over populated the way it is. I'm sure they still have people sleeping dorm style in like 50 cots in each prison's section. I also know that IMO it seems pretty fucked up some of these prisons how they operate.
