Project06 Keylogs?

Ok, long story short, I have a few friends on rs (who are flower hosts) and are worth 15b+, and suddenly one got hacked, lost his stuff, a day later another gets hacked, and then another... I know you might think they might have downloaded a gold generator or members, but no, they aren't dumb enough to touch that lol, they have good anti virus, but one thing that they all had in common was, they all played project06 (and all the hacking stared after they played) so it is pretty safe to assume P06 has some kind of driveby/keylog

 

Anyone with a bank like that who plays a c grade private server pretty much deserves to be hacked. I can't get my head around how someone with 15b+ would risk it to play a low quality private server.

Every single private server has the ability to key log you.

 

This is possible, however until proof is obtained then you can't simply assume project06 is responsible.

 

Ouch, 15B lost, that sucks.

Project06 are rollin' in it by the sounds of it.

 

Pr06 don't keylog to my knowledge. They might use your password and check it against RS accounts, that's more likely of a private server. Requested to private server discussion.

 

Was reading someone else earlier about their database being stolen. So tbh, its their own fault for using same username/email and same passwords.

 

I wouldn't be surprised.. almost all of the 2006 remakes are there to only make money.

 

Firstly, if the .rar or .zip download of the client had a keylogger, it would be very very very very very very obvious to any anti virus software. If they were playing via the webclient, it's possible there could have been a javadriveby. However, I highly doubt its either. If people are playing the downloadable client, you should always check what you're extracting.

ProjectRs06 has ~ 10,000 players online at most times. I have a few friends who play it, and none of them have been affected. As others mentioned, their DB was leaked, and anyone who was dumb enough to have matching RS passwords to their ProjectRs06 accounts, well...what can you say.

Yeah if you use the same information as your real rs account you deserve whatever happens.

Wow, I never trust these things really. But as a few others have said if you're worth that much you should be much more careful.

 

TBH would not be surprised in the least.
