Guitar questions

I'll be buying an electric guitar soon and I'd like to know if there is anything specific I should look for when buying a guitar.

This is my first time learning to play and I know nothing about them.

Here is one I found for a decent price, but im not sure if it's good quality or what to look for. Please post some that are good quality or what I should look for when buying my first electric guitar.

Someone told me learning to play acoustic would be better for a beginner but fuck that yolo lele.

 

Really, if you're a beginner do acoustic. You'll have a much easier time learning the ropes.

 

I learned on an electric and picked up acoustic fairly recently. I found most songs i wanted to learn didnt involve most real chords but mainly power chords (fifths) and other random notes so it worked out for the better, however i dont think that electric is any easier or harder to learn on. If you can just avoid squires (they arent even all THAT bad but have a tendency to come out of tune) and various other no name brands.

The listing you gave says the item was removed. An ibanez was my first guitar, got a cheap combo deal with an amplifier cord and stand for about $250 usd from guitar center. It was a bottom shelf type of guitar but its tough and stayed in tune, i suggest something similar to that for a first guitar purchase.

 

buy a cheap one so once you are done rocking your can smash its body like a true rockstar
