Google SEO section Part 2.

The idea for a google SEO sub-section was approved the other day to cut back on this stupid bullshit from dominating the spam forum.

Here a couple days ago sythe made it to where people could not post directly in the google SEO section to deter the threads where people would just post the top 200-300 of the top searched terms in one thread in it (his reasoning in suggesting this is any more ridiculous than posting so called "viral" threads in the first place is beyond me).

This makes the sub-section completely redundant as try hard people are making "viral" threads in a silly attempt get a rank/minirank and its once again flooding the SF as addressed in the original approved thread.

Yeah I feel something needs to be done about it also as it is flooding the section and pushing all the decent threads to the 2nd page, which is basically ruining the spam forum.

 

This bullshit honestly needs to stop. I know you could give two shits about your community members sythe, because adverts and traffic are all that matter.

But seriously, come on.

Yeah and now everyone is posting "links to videos" when they are really referral/adfly links to make some money on this bullshit.

These people should honestly be receiving infractions, i mean sythes condoning the seo abuse but i highly doubt he is supporting of these fucking referral links.

 

The problem is they're being rewarded two fold:

Ranks
Money

This shit needs to stop.

 

Wait are the gold4rs/usfine a set rate per month are do they pay per view? If they are paying per view, damn.. Just make a subforum for the bull shit and don't allow threads full of tags.

 

Ok this is really annoying now. Something needs to change because all the threads with tryhards trying to beat out Marrow's thread is flooding the spam forum and it has effectively ruined me and several other people's favorite forum.

 

I've stopped posting in the SF. End of.

 

It's the spam forum, its spam. That's what its for.

It'll stop after a few days, Richard already said he's not doing his competition anymore as people went over the top with it. I thought not having the SF moderated (or kept to a minimum) is what you guys have been fighting for ages?

 

They said it would stop after a few days last time and then the "viral" forum was made. Read the other thread, i'm not asking for moderation I am asking that they open up the fucking forum and let it be used for what it was intended for.

This has gone from some people wanting some stupid rank to people lying about the content of a link to get hits on referral links.


EDIT: Someone is my fucking hero!!! The threads have been moved into the horrible sub section to which they should be in. This is a great temporaryfix but people still cannot post a thread in the "viral" subsection so the SF will be flooded once again, soon.

 

I think this is different, as Sythe members actively participated in the threads and it generated some interest in the spam forum. Threads with stuffed keywords should not be permitted, but I see this as being harmless. For example, I was just sharing my love for bestiality. I made three threads: one putting the action link because Marrow took it off, a second one with an updated link, and a third thread explaining what was going on. I didn't make any threads that just said HURR HURR GIRL FUCKS DOG CLICK MY IRRELAVENT LINK.

This is what the "viral thread" subsection was made for and im all for it but that shit should be separate from the regular SF.

 

Most viral threads have been getting moved decently quick, just report them if they aren't.
