I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place to put this thread... But i'm sure there are a number of Football (soccer) Fans frequenting sythe, I'd quite like to see some sort of Banter page on here in which you can throw some abuse at hopefully Liverpool FC or Manchester United Fans.

If you would like to call them scum bags etc, then fire away.

EDIT - i have opened a thread in the sports and fitness section regards Football Vs Fag football (american football) as this may not be the correct place to post. Sorry if it isn't.

Requesting move to spam forum, would probably be the best place for a banter type thread like this.

I think you'll find Rugby is far superior.

i've played rugby in highschool and it's hella fun, but i like football better. rugby is great if im tryna just knee a dude in the face and have just general chaotic fun on the pitch, fuck yea.

but the feeling of playing in a football game man, shit is indescribable. how you can barely sleep the night before in anticipation and excitement and being nervous as fuck sitting in the locker room with all your teammates before kick off. it's about making that huge hit or grabbing that pick six and changing the entire course of the game in one play. it truly is the best sport on earth in my opinion.

Are you kidding, you Americans thinking you're hard as nails... Rugby is the sport of kings...

Rugby to me is an international only game, i find it hard to follow on a national level although i do go to Dragon games fairly regularly. When it comes to the 6 nations or Rugby world cup... There is nothing that quite beats it.

The rivalry between Wales, England, Ireland, France and scotland is just amazing.... The passion from all fans and the noise is just unbelievable. I suggest you guys all watch some youtube clips of the Wales England games played at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff

Well, I can't argue with that! Sounds riveting! I've only experienced playing Rugby, but I know a bunch of lads that love American Football (it's not that big here in the UK).

I know a couple of people that like American football, but it's very rare over here!

I just can't understand why they wear pads?

yeah no it's a lot of fun, it's understandable why it's only popular in canada and america since it honestly looks stupid as fuck to anyone who just watches a game on TV or online or something. Really hard to get used to if it's your first time playing too

it's because the style of tackling is far different in american football. you know how in rugby you kinda wrap them around the way and fall down with em generally? in football sometimes you tackle like that, but a lot of it is just straight up bashing into the guy, if you didn't have pads in american football it'd probably take the fun away from it, because you'd completely ruin your shoulder and grab a few concussions within a few plays if you play something like linebacker

edit: 'pologize for getting off topic

Hmmm i understand (sort of).. The only arguement i'd make is that Rugby players get concusion and injurered shoudlers all the time. Cuts, bruises, broken bones.. It's part of the fun :)
