Donating For Another User Via Paypal

Say I sold something in exchange for someone donating under my name via paypal and they chargedback would I be held responsible or how would that work? Same question with people who are offering paypal donation services what if they end up charging back what happens to all those people who paid for donations?

 

Luckily, they pay for "bonds" which means that you're paying them and then it is deducted from however much they have on said bond, so it's unlikely that that would happen.

As for question 1, unless they held a bond then a) I don't think you should do it and b) You'd have your donation removed, and could be banned, I suppose.

 

Whoever did the donation over PayPal would be responsible over a chargeback. You're essentially perm banned as its considered scammng the site.

Yes you can donate for another user its up to the bond holder to enter the correct user ID when doing the donation, as long as its handled correctly it could be done.

 

Under the new system, where you can donate for someone else, I don't think the consequences lie on the user who was given the rank as a gift but rather the user who paid for the rank.

If you visit the donation centre, you'll see the option to donate for someone else. This avoids someone else having to donate "under your name".

 

That's what I wrote this thread at like 2 am so guess I could have worded it better lol. So the user who donated for me would be punished and I wouldn't lose my rank/be banned if this where to happen?

 

No most likely you wouldnt be banned for it the user would be banned because he got the ITEM in exchange for whatever you were paying. So once you paid the user the liability went on him and he paid for your donation therefore the charge is on him not you.

 

Obviously it would be the user who paid for the rank who gets banned, otherwise lets say I didn't like a member, I could donate for them and then chargeback just so they got banned. That's fucking ridiculous.

 

The user who paid for the rank will be banned and the user who was gifted with the rank will just lose the rank.
