At what $USD price do you agree GP is at right now?

At what $USD price do you agree GP is at right now?

I'm interested in seeing the responses. I've seen the price fluctuate between $0.25-$0.35 for a while and was wondering where you all (or at least some) of you agree the price stands.

 

I personally would sell around .28-31, but I'd try and buy at .24. I can see the price dipping down to around .10 by the end of the year, and then trading in RSGP dying. Shame really.

 

Really makes me depressed thinking about that...but as a student studying risk in business, unless Jagex were to completely scrap Runescape or absolutely obliterate its economy, the price will have to pick up somewhere along the line.

$0.10/m is definitely possibly, but as far as likelihood, I'm not sure. I'd rather like to think of it climbing back up when it drops below $0.20/m

 

It will climb back up. As evidenced by the decreasing gold prices, jagex will identify this issue and point the finger at RSPS servers and they will work harder to have them shutdown. My prediction stable at .20

 

The private servers won't bring players back, more will just be made. People play them to get the OLD rs back, as they don't want the new one. Gold will always be in more supply than demand, 1B is $250, and that can get you a lot since the economy IN GAME has crashed. 1B used to be $1000 for a reason, even though it didn't get you that much back then. AGS' used to be over 100M, what are they now? 8M? The future for RS RWT isn't as good as jagex have killed it, maybe intentionally?

 

Actually real world economy v. game economy is very different. There are no regulations on 'printing' gold like there is printing real money, so gold is constantly being pumped into the game. The more supply, and more people realize there is a supply then the cheaper the price. The gold sellers decide the price of the gold. If someone has enough supply to maintain sell at .10/m then the rest of the gold sellers would need to follow suit in order to stay competitive. So in theory the price could actually bottom out and be completely worthless if someone had enough gold to do that.

The inflation of the gold market is crazy compared to the last few years.

But I totally agree with both of your observations: gold will rise again but Jagex will most likely launch more agressive operations to suppress RWT.

 

Valid point, Emperor. That is definitely a flaw in comparison with real world economics.

It's amazing how much they've dropped since I got out of the market even.

 

Same. I still have a thread I posted a while back saying "Buying 100-500m @ $0.55/m!" ...lol those were the days.

 

The games slowly steeping lower and lower and becoming useless IMO.

It depends on how many vouches you have tbh, determining your buying power. Numerous users have added me to try sell me their entire GP stock at 0.22/mill. However, I believe the average is probably about 0.28/mill.

It's hard to say. Recently the price has been continuously dropping. I guess the demand just isn't there anymore?
