Briefly explain the trade: We were going to trade my WoW gold (100k, in 2x 50k trades) for his RSGP and finish the rest tomorrow.
Link to thread can be found: http://www.sythe.org/wow-gold-exchange/1494981-wts-190k-gold-pp-rsgp-black-dragonflight-horde.html

How they scammed: Took the 100k, blamed lag then never logged back in. (Edit: Later claimed we never traded.)

Proof that you were not talking to an impostor:

The entire convo is in the album. The linked images above show we were indeed talking.

He responded after I sent him a message over the forums.

Trades go in order, watch the gold go down in my bags. start with 192k, gets to 142k, ends with 92k.

There are no trades with him on RS, because he simply logged out. I can show a declined trade, but that isn't much.

It is not so much the money that upsets me. Money comes and money goes (though this would have gotten me to my goal). I am more disappointed about my time that was lost. I don't have that much time to spend by myself, so I cherish what I do get.
It was a loss of 4+ hours of my life ontop of the money I lost, plus the fact that I did not earn any RSGP while playing during this ordeal.
Who knows, maybe he really needed the money. Maybe he needed it more than I did.

I am not asking for a ban, but simply informing you all of the situation that took place. What you do about the situation is up to you. If anything, it should serve as another sad reminder that one can never be too careful, even with older members. Was I foolish? Perhaps. Will I do it again? No. The lesson I learned is that unless somebody has spent a considerable amount more than me (or renowned on the forums) I will insist on an OMM, or they will go first.

The Skype he posted in one of his threads matches the one you were talking to on Skype. It is clear that you gave him 100k WoW gold and he flaked. Banned for scamming.
