Europe, Australia, Canada have absolutely horrible poverty. The one difference that ameliorates it I talk about below. But it ain't true, there is the same grinding poverty in Europe, Australia and Canada. They just don't have international TV that exposes it all the time.

It's easy for a person to set up their own business.

Almost any climate you like, America has it.

Relative unemployment rates are the lowest in the world.

America admits when it has a problem and does something about it instead of covering problems up like other countries do.

Not the best education system in the world but still a fairly good one.

Crime despite what is seen on TV is relatively rare and the streets are safe. In parts of Canada, they don't let their kids play outside at all, which I think is harmful to the kids.

General sense of wellbeing and happiness is better in the States than other countries. I know it's not quatifiable, but it's true.

Taxes are a lot lower than any other developed nation.

America's armed forces create a skilled labor pool. Not to mention it gives young people a chance to love and serve their country.

America takes better care than Europe and Canada to protect it's citizens from bad food and bad water. In Canada and the EU, failure of government inspectors to do their jobs have resulted in deaths. In the United States if there is a problem it is never hidden but brought out into the open. Google "Walkerton" and see what happened when Canadian water inspectors failed to do their jobs. In the US boil water advisories are given out immediately.

America protects it's citizens by actually testing new drugs. In the EU and Canada new drugs are not tested by the government but instead data given be the pharmaceutical company is reviewed and no questioning of that data is ever done. This has resulted in people in the EU and Canada being made more sick and in some cases dying while in America the testing of drugs has held these harmful drugs off the market. Btw, this protection was instituted by Theodore Roosevelt, 50 years before the EU and Canada implemented their inadequate safeguards.

American citizens give more to charity per capita than any other country in the world.

Atmosphere of free enquiry, people in the States can investigate and try to find the truth about issues themselves. In the EU and other countries, citizens are dissuaded from even question whether or not global warming is true or not. In other countries there is a culture of trusting "the experts" without question.


Anyone can start from the bottom and work their way up, IF they put the work and dedication into doing so.
