If it sounds too good to be tried, then it probably IS...
Like who would fall for this?
    Anyone else get these?
I don't know how these people get my email. I guess its probably the same thing for those fake runescape emails.

I don't think I have fallen for any of these emails. They usually show up as spam on my Gmail, hence I don't even check my spam mail.

I think spammers get a hold of your email from a certain mailing list, or some website/program you are subscribed to.

It always flabbergasts me how someone could fall for this. It seems painfully obvious. What's even more painful is the fact that people actually do fall for this...

I LOVE reading them. It is generally old people who know nothing who fall for them. Chris Hansen (Yeah, the predator guy) did a show exposing these. He met with the people running them. They're like gold farmers but from Africa and they work in small cramped rooms with like 40 computers and just send mass emails hoping for replies.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17697615/

It is really worth the watch, I swear. It was really interesting.

Yeah but honestly I don't give out my email lightly. I use 1 thats for RL related, and another for FORUM USE. Sure I understand the forum use ones being spammed with such emails, but the email I use for RL stuff I dont.

I enjoy reading them too, its just so mind blowing at what lenghts people would go...

I kind of enjoy getting these sometimes. I actually take the time to reply and fuck with the sender for a bit, sending them false information. A lot of the time they actually reply too.

    This,
It's quite funny to see just how ludicrous some of these emails are, and take the piss sometimes. I like doing the same with those bullshit phone calls asking if I have had an accident in the last 2 years.

The people who fall for these usually are either elderly or new to the internet, so yes in short.

Most people who fall for them aren't computer literate.. I remember watching a documentary about similar scams. I remember watching something about an elderly couple who were offered a discount on some beauty products and the wife clicked the link and put in her bank account details, they were sent over 500 bottles of this lotion and charged for each one, but the price increased and there was nothing they could do about it because they agreed to it.

It's shocking how many you can lure in to these things if you know what to do

I wonder how people would even fall for things like this, if its too good to be true, it probably isn't.
