    Paying for help with PayPal

Okay, my VISA debit card is locked on an old PayPal account with about $317 negative balance. This account is unable to be logged into also, it says 'we are having trouble logging you in to your account' whenever I log in.

I was on the phone to them yesterday, and the only way to unlock it would be to pay $317. But it's bullshit because that money is from people doing illegal chargebacks. So why should I have to pay back $300+ for nothing?

Is there anything anyone can do to fix this? I will pay up to $20 if you can get my card off my old account!

Paypal's mindset is that you're responsible for chargebacks. Basically you need to trade more safely is what they'd say here. They're the ones who have lost $317 (or more) depending on how much was reversed. I don't think what you want done is possible

This is impossible really. :/ This is why selling virtual goods is risky because they say that virtual goods aren't allowed to be sold/bought plus gifting money is only supposed to be for friends/family and be used very rarely they watch your gifting very closely and limits occur a lot if they notice any strange activity.

in paypals eyes like video said, you recieved a charge back, probs from someone using a stolen credit card as unauthorized transaction, credit card company will be instantly refunded by paypal, and now the only way paypal will even consider offering you any form of protection is if you were to show them proof of a phsyical delivery.

but as you said its an old paypal account, its to late to fight against the dispute, i wouldnt even recomend paying them the $317 as even if you did i would imagine you would remain banned/blacklisted from paypal for life anyway.
