Good job. I'm making reports and they're getting sorted really quick, it's usually small things such as locking/moving, but you're being really efficient, good job

13 cleared up today alone, good job.

 

Only thing I could disagree is the amount of spam reports and infractions given out. Not everything reported is spam, most of the time it's just conversation in the thread itself. It's not really proactive to infract for every little thing that gets mentioned off-topic in a thread like I got infracted for twice, and have yet to get a response from Dave on the first one. Maybe it's because free mod logs, but I don't agree with the amount of infractions being handed out at all.

 

they have to be harsh on spam, therefore to eliminate it from the forums. it IS proactive to infract every little thing thats gets mentioned off-topic, to reduce people spamming and make them aware that they are spamming. Mod's really clean reports up fast. good job.

 

No it isn't, it's decreasing activity. People will be less obliged to post if they think they have to strictly talk about the topic, and that they can't maybe have a second conversation in the topic itself. While the main topic is still being talked about. If it's massive spam and flaming I agree, but I'm afraid to even point out something funny in a post or ask somebody a question that's off topic because I've been infracted for it. Doesn't really make sense, you want to increase activity but still are infracting minor posts so people won't post as much. There's a difference between spamming, and talking to somebody in a thread that's responded to you, or pointing something out that's funny.


Thread like "Where did name here go?" have to stay on topic, but I don't agree with giving out infractions for minor things in every little thread, or in other words micro-managing all the posts.

 

I would much rather have a higher quality community (sans market activity, I don't go there) than a community chocked full of people who post nonsense continuously. Sythe has a strong and close knit community because the mods here are stricter and don't let things slip like in other communities I have been in. A thread is where you discuss the topic posted not have little side conversations completely irrelevant to the topic, because they're PMs for that.

I think even though the teams is down in numbers right now they still have a strong showing.

 

If you don't like the topic being discussed, make a new one with your preferred topic.
