Video (Bad moderating)

Some of you guys may know me, some may not. But basically I am a scammer/ban evader.

Anyway, I asked this guy Rice_Farmer, if he wants to scam with me as he had a half-trusted Sythe account.

Anyway, he accepted to scam with me, after a little while we had an argument, so basically I reported him for Helping others to scam. I spoke to yaroow over Msn, Yarrow said go ahead make a report and I'll ban him.

That was his ban dispute after I showed a screenshot on skype, him accepting to scam with me.

Read his dispute video says:

He unbans rice farmer because I'm a 'Scammer/vader making the report' Is that fair? It's a valid report and should be based on the evidence, not who makes the report.

Anyway, then i made this thread for Rice_farmer to be re-banned, with more evidence.

In this report, Yaroow even says

Look at the date & time Yaroow posts that he's banned Rice farmer.

However just under 2 days later, Rice_farmer makes this thread:

So how was it bad moderating?

- Video should never have unbanned Rice_farmer in the first place, he should have at least contacted me first to ask for more evidence, if it wasn't enough. Even though I believe it was.

- I make another scam report on him (with more evidence) Yaroow says he's banned, while this is solved. However, he was unbanned, as he got to make that thread, and the report was not even solved.

- Him realising the game is over, he's been caught, he goes on a scamming spree causing people to lose alot.

- Yaroow posts after rice_farmers thread that he's banned, so he was banned because of his thread.

 

Well first of all Sir. Video was in the right whenever he un banned Rice Farmer. First because you are a scammer and secondly yes Rice should have been given the benefit of the doubt over you because your an evader and a scammer. Secondly Rice Farmer is innocent until proven guilty, by the actual sound of it first off it seems like you are a mass evader trying to frame a perfectly good user into getting banned. Yarroow basically went off the information he was given and banned the OP of the scam reports, by you making so many scam reports it made it seem like you were basically just trying to get Farmer banned. So therefore Video was in the right and whenever the user was unbanned Yarroow followed up on the situation and banned the user which is perfectly good moderation. Id say Job well done 2 scammers gone and the community +2 idiots safer.

@OP tbh your obviously vading again you should just leave man don't try and down the moderates that are doing there job, because if yo dumb ass wouldn't have came to this site lurking to scam people you wouldn't have had to waste your time writing this long non sensible post about stupid shit. After I found out that rice_farmer scammed, I felt extremely guilty for requesting his unban. However, in my defense, it's hard to find you credible, and after his dispute, it looked like you had been trying to frame another member. Again, he didn't have any reports against him and his IP had no matches to any other users, he looked to be a clean user who got framed by you, a repeat scammer/evader. Ultimately I made the wrong judgment, I'll admit that, but given what I knew and had seen, I feel that it's understandable why I would trust his word over yours.

Lesson learned though, I won't be requesting any unbans without heavy deliberation with any other mods/users involved in the original ban

 

There was clear edvidence that Rice farmer was a scammer as he AGREED to scam with this user on screenshots serveral times, yaroow even confirmed it. Video then unbanned him without digging into it futher and discussing it with other staffs. Seriously how can you unban someone who is clearly a scammer and a vader? Two days later after hes unban, rice scams more and then admits it because he was clearly getting caught.

In my opinion, video should pay for the victims as it's hes fault that he got unbanned while there was CLEAR edvidence of rice being a scammer/vader.

 

It would have been unfair to rely on you as a source. Although the outcome is unfortunate, I do not consider Video in the wrong.

 

True but I would have done the same thing perfectly clean member over a habitual scammer and evader....... You do the math.

Somewhat right but Video was clearly under the impression that the evader was trying to frame Farmer, man you never know internet is something vicious.

But anyways they got the situation handles took a scam or too in order to get it done but in the end it got taken care of.

Video was not in the wrong he did what he thought was right.

 

Why would he waste hes TIME on doing that? Think about it , a new account boom 100$ donator, beast signature, avatar, he clearly knew everything on how to ban evade on sythe! And bottem line is that there even was PROOF that he admitted to being a scammer/vader. So what the fuck is the whole deal with having issues in believing the OP telling the truth or not.. lol

I think video is just trying to help this community/keep it as clean as possible, there will be mistakes, but that doesn't mean he's a bad mod...

 

I wouldn't call Video in the wrong, how would he know that Rice was a vader when there were no IP matches? When a ( at that time ) completely legit user gets reported for something like this, its normal to look at the user who reported him and find out that user was a ban evader and a scammer in the past, who believes a thief nowadays? No one.
Albeit i don't agree with Video requesting an unban later without digging into evidence, he did his job and followed his instincts, and i'm sure most of you here would do the same.
And also, Nerfed - Last week you were calling for a '' revolution '' and a change of the moderators, and calling them corrupt, how now you go and suckup to them saying a completely different thing?

 

In fairness, OP has a point. He did make a scam report, and whether the source is credible or not, it should still be investigated fully. Whether it's legitimate or not, every report should be held in an unbiased fashion, whether that be disregarding a "scammer's" statements or ignoring a troll.

 

You keep saying that he was unbanned, but I think it's more likely that he was never banned. Either, I made a mistake whilst applying his temporary ban OR I did go through the proper steps and *insert reason here* happened and it did not go through.


I'd like to remind everybody that users are not banned immediately as a report is opened against them and that the temporary ban is optional, rather than a necessity.

 

Video is human and humans make mistakes.

 

Videos one of the very few mods on the site i have nothing bad to say about, this was very out of character for him. Hes usually putting in some serious detective time judging by his scam reports and pardon/ban handling. He made a fuck up, hes only human.

Hes already openly admitted his wrong doing (admirably i might add, most staff seem to consider themselves infallible) and said he wont make the mistake again, i for one believe him and his apology are sincere and would consider this thread an ideal one to close as its redundant. OP's banned, and video doesn't need to go anywhere, he is an asset to the site and a humble one at that.

 

Video handles reports with fast and good. He's still a human tough so yea.

Firstly, each case should be dealt fairly and un-biased. He shouldn't have unbanned him only because I'm an evader/scammer. He should still look at the evidence.

About Yaroow, it's good he banned him, re-read my first post, however Yaroow said he banned him, where as he didn't actually, he was still unbanned so was given the chance to scam more, when Yaroow said he banned him, he didn't, or he did and didn't follow it up with a perm till the scam report was solved..

 

Okay, I know more than 50% people here on Sythe who will eventually end up scamming, or have enough proof to ban them now. You need to understand I'm in the scamming scene so it's not difficult to know who's a scammer, i know most of them.
