Where to upload signature file?

I have a question regarding what websites everyone uses to upload their signature to insert the URL between the [ IMG][ /IMG] tags.




For example: I used Photobucket to upload my signature created in Photoshop. But whenever I tried to upload a signature with a transparent background, it wouldn't turn out right.




Please share any helpful information! Such as a step-by-step process of signature upload, from which program you use, to the file type you save it as, to the host site you upload it to (ie. Photobucket)

You've probably saved it as a JPG. They don't support transparency and are low quality. You should save it as a PNG instead. I believe photobucket supports PNG's fully (I don't see why they wouldn't) but I personally use imgur.

 

I personally use Imgur.com , it's very fast and files dont get deleted after X amount of time, it's also very fast. As Jack said, JPG files dont support transparency. I got my signature in .PNG

 

Yeah i tried using PNG in Photobucket but it wouldnt upload so i didnt know if you guys did something different. Ill start using IMGUR then, thanks!!

 

Photobucket should support transparency, just be sure to save as a .png

Other good sites for smaller images include imgur and deviantart

If you have larger images, use deviantart

I would save my photos as .png but it would show up on photobucket as a really weird..idk how to explain it

 

If the above comments don't work, try using tinypic! That's what I use and havn't had an issue

When you post it, it shouldn't be weird looking. I'm assuming the transparent parts are just white/black or something like that?

Puu.sh is the easiest method of all those mentioned above at least for me.

 

Puu.sh doesn't provide the best quality though =P It's just a snapshot in the end.

 

I've always used Imgur.com, easy and quick to upload photos from computer.
