Quick Question

So currently I have an account with a registered email. I DO NOT have access to that email but I have total access to the Runescape account. I am not the original owner and purchased the account via a friend of a friend. I was curious if there was anyway to get the resisted email on the RS account to an email which I own.

I sorta figure it's a long shot but just curious.

Any tips or help would be gratefully appreciated.

 

Well if you purchased it via a friend and it's registered to his email then couldn't you simply ask him to help change the email over?

 

You have to email jagex, go to the runescape forums and go to account help and there should be a thread which helps you to change your email, i think thats how it is, or you can simply wait a while (14 days).

Well if it's 14 days that's not bad. But I don't have any of the account info like creation date ect. And he's like "oh i don't have access to the email." which is some shit I don't believe.

 

Well if you don't trust him or you think he's lying to you, how can you call him a friend?

It sounds sorta shady from what you've explained here, I'd advise on selling the account or storing high value items on it if that's your intention. He can technically recover it anytime from you.

I guess only your 'friend' would know the creation date and stuff, so you'd have to ask him for it. Otherwise I doubt Jagex will give you the email change easily.

 

Well I don't really consider him a friend and I wouldn't want to sell it because if he does recover it screws someone over which I don't want. Figure I could just get the account banned lol.

 

If you get it banned, he can just appeal and state it wasn't him on the account. The IP change will prove that, and he will just recover + get it unbanned.

My advice would be to just leave the whole thing alone.

 

Ask the "friend of your friend" who sold the account to change the email.

 

I thought there was a guide on here to change the email a while ago, guess it got deleted as i would tell you to look at that.

Well the email is mine lol I got it transferred over night I just posted on the forums. Just trying to put JAG on it and it won't allow me to, but I can still log into the account. Just going to wait until that's on then I would assume it's completely mine. Thanks for the help all

So JAG was previously enacted on this account. But is not now, is there anyway to get rid of it and place my own questions on the account?
