[WIN7][Icons]Problem with my brother's computer

Hey guys, my brother just told me that he has problem with his computer for several weeks, I'm not really sure how to fix this. Every icon is replaced with 'Cabal Online' game client icon, when you doubleclick any program it'll only run Cabal Online client, all programs must be started from install location C://users/program files/Programname/Programname.exe

That's quite amusing tbh. What happens if he un-installs the client that is being executed? He could also just redirect the icon link back to their original locations, but that would take time. I've never encountered this problem before, but I'm sure it's not unheard of.

 

he already uninstalled it and it still happened, however game client did not launch. He installed it back and it's same as before uninstallation

Have you tried simply making new shortcuts?

 

I mentioned this, but it may simply happen the next time he installs a new program - it's probably best to find the root of the problem. OP, have you tried a google search lol?

 

There is a way of resetting all icons. I'm pretty sure I had the exact same thing when CSS was stuffing them up. Sorry I don't have the link though.
