Sythe.org Logo Competition (also vote in the Background Competition)

#3 needs some tweaking in places, but I voted #4 due to the fact it's a logo competition. The first too are two fancy after much consideration.

Deciding between #1 and #4 was tough but ended up voting for #1. I like the simplicity of #4 but #1 is extremely pretty. <_>

Professionally speaking..

Entry 1 is a far overused style in graphic design, it lacks that brand type it looks like the title to lord of the rings. But props for hand drawing it.

As for my vote for Entry 3... The Mouse, The Connected Text, The Slight Arrow on the S it's simple and unique and matches the existing colours it's like when PayPal needed a Logo upgrade they did the same sort of deal, Same structure, New style of font with richer colours which is why entry 3 is my smartest vote and the best vote that would make Sythe.org look noticeable and friendly to anything sales, gaming related

Entry 4:

It's a very neat style, well put together but the chord on your mouse is kind of crooked maybe this can be fixed I don't know. The background is also nice but I dig the kind of space like style and the blue like faded square things might show up funny for some users with smaller resoultions.

#1 seems like its from a game from 1993...
#3 + #4 Look almost exactly like the current logo

By good judgement, it's obvious it's between 1 & 2.

#1 is flashy with an antique look which is really eye catching. Really amazing
I would like to see it have the slogan with it, that's probably why it's not getting any attention
(and the haters) which is crazy..

#2 is nice, but the style really looks quite sloppy. Overlapping letters is very unappealing especially when not done correctly.

#3 Looks like child play, something you would see on the street for cross road signs and what not. Very ugly

#4 Is boring

#1 and #2 are going to make Sythe look like a guild forum.

Not sure if troll, or just stupid. Yo apparently don't know webdesign or current trends in webdesign.

3rd Entry votes are so fake, much absurd.

Voting must have condition as "Member since 2011", since lot will fake accounts.

 

Voted 4, though I like some of Alt's other submissions better than this particular one - I still prefer it over the others on finer examination - #1 has the same issues I've mentioned before, #2 has bad texturing that would need some serious reworking to be presentable, and #3 is to bland and badly drawn, and for #4, I'm not completely fond of the yellow/blue mixup and I think a mouse isn't the best fitting icon

I wouldn't worry about that submission. Pretty sure the staff will check every vote is legitimate before awarding the winner since the logo is a big thing.

If #3 is pk the cows, I wouldn't be surprised if he was cheating, like he did on the referral competition.

There seems to be a massive influx of foul play in the voting. I tallied up what people have said on the thread and so far there is this:

People that said they voted for 1: 1
People that said they voted for 2: 7
People that said they voted for 3: 2 0
People that said they voted for 4: 13
People that didn't specify their vote: 3

Actual results currently:
1: 16
2: 25
3: 20
4: 18


There seems to be a large discrepancy especially with #3
Also for the fact that #4 has gotten the most positive response from people who have posted on the thread and yet it is coming second to last. An interesting observation to say the least.

I love the style #4 is in, which is the one I voted for. #3 just looks weird, and #1 and #2 don't feel right, they look to Medieval for Sythe.
