Bug abused on runescape by a sythe member

Which is why you get banned for luring a Sythe member, right?

 

I agree with OP fully. But nothing will be done more than likely, that would be a double standard. I mean these guides (along with luring guides which is outright scamming as well) are sold on site and are condoned in that manner. Condoning the sales of the guides are essentially giving the ok on the actions, making it ok to do to other people but not sythe members would be a massive double standard.

BUT i dont think these guides should be allowed to be sold at all, its a fucking scam. I doubt anything will be done about it though considering i made a similar thread about luring and sythe pointing out that it is deceiving people for monetary gain (see: http://www.bing.com/Dictionary/search?q=define+scam&qpvt=scamming+definition&FORM=DTPDIA ) and nothing was done then either.

If it happens in RS, it should be kept in RS. Unless this community is willing to support blackhat activity, it shouldn't be allowed to sell these kind of guides (Sorry didn't read the full OP atm, read it awhile ago). You can't border blackhat, accept Blackhat activity, then in another section completely punish someone from it, just leads to mixed up rules. So either completely ban blackhat things like this from the site, or allow blackhat/scamming tutorials and guides to be sold around the site.


A phisher is pretty much the same thing as a Staking glitch imo. If you want to do it through Skype or MSN go ahead, but keep the advertising off the site.

There's already a risk in buying gold, buying duped gold does increase getting banned, but there are ways to get around it.

However, if all the gold they generate is duped and they know it and sell it, then I feel as if that should be illegal. But if it's an accident, then no.

Honesty is the best policy, but it isn't fair to ban somebody because of how they got the gold unless it is a threat to other members IMO.

 

Duped gold, should get a member banned as that is technically scamming as the buyers account has a higher possibility of being banned.

If someone has found a glitch in the programming if the game which lets them exploit the bug for staking e.t.c. to win more often, then that is not scamming, that is just being clever and being able to know how to profit from things like that. It should not be a banable offense for that.

With people posting "well if so and so got banned from so and so site for scamming, shouldn't they be banned on here?", yes and more often than not, with the relevent proof they are banned.

Scamming is a completely different story than bug abusing (bar item duping).

 

if you have a proof of them bug abusing in runescape you can report them in runescape with the proof or if a sythe member got lured/scammed in runescape then it would still be considered a scam in my opinion.

 

I absolutely agree with you there my friend, this is a black market none-the less. How can staff here penalize people for bug-abuse in the game which we are black marketing in? Ridiculous.

I scammed someone in rs. Don't ban me, what happens in rs stays in rs.
I think the gold selling isn't an issue, if he bugabused a stake with you then i'd say it's scamming. And he should be banned on sythe if you can provide proof.

I lured before I quit, finding targets ingame, one of the people I lured could of been a sythe member. What am I supposed to do, hey, before I lure you, do you have a sythe account? It's only against the rules if you're pulling off sythe.

 

Totally agree, I bet lots of people actively lure here and hey, some of their victims maybe Sythe members, but unless we pull them off of actual Sythe, only then should it be against the rules! I can't say I agree with luring but how can someone help it if one of their victims is from Sythe? This topic has caused a lot of different rants and opinions and it will probably remain that way - something this debate-able cannot be set in stone if you ask me...

 

Yes, but if you contact someone on Sythe to stake, and you get bug abused they abuse their Sythe account to scam someone, I believe a ban should be in place.

edit: same goes for luring if you ask me, luring ingame is fine. But if you use Sythe to find runescape accounts to lure(this includes finding pics with rsn's or whatever other way you can think of), you should be banned..
