How do F2P gambling clans work with trade limits?

So, I've always wondered this: because a F2P player can give out 25K+ Gp but not receive 25K+ Gp, how exactly do F2P gambling clans pay out bettors? I know that some don't have the limit, but surely many new accounts do?

 

I suppose if you want to gamble you got to get atleast 1 months membership.

 

I thought veteran players and old members didn't have a limit? Or did they change that..

 

They don't, but new players need to buy 1 months membership to remove it.

 

Oh alright. I guess they just don't trade with the new players. Its mainly the old players that gamble 1m+ anyway so they wouldn't make much from a new account.

 

They are either old players before the 25k trade limit update or those who have at least paid for 1 month in membership. That would remove the trade limit entirely forever on that account even if the membership expires.

 

Gamblers do not have the trade limit. They most likely are either old players or have at some time been a member. They probably just prefer to gamble on f2p worlds.

 

You just have to have atleast a one month membership then you no longer have a trade limit.

Yes, as I explained in my first post, I know that not all accounts have the limit.

But, in the unlikely event that there IS a new account that has NEVER had membership, how does the bettor pay them out?

I'm just confused as to how clans like Cora Dyce have survived all this time, as the way the trade limit works is the new account can pay any amount to a player but the new account can't receive any amount over 25K from any players. Surely, then, F2P gambling clans would encounter some idiot who claims they are scamming simply because they can't pay out the idiot?

 

Most of them are old players or members, that's how they overcome the limit.

 

There used to/still is the table method, so maybe it could work that way if a new player desperately wanted to gamble big.. I remember trading some guy like 40 times for a 2m pot, never knew why I did that

 

You can give a new account any amount, the new account only give away 25K.

And since most things are limited, it's pretty hard to get huge amounts of gold, so gamblers are either really low (25K) or old enough to do higher

 

If they become a member, they can gamble forever. If their account is older than the update, they can gamble. It's easy, the price of membership is cheap compared to what they are risking.
