Ban partyhat sales

Why?

Because, it has been clear that in the past people who have managed to scam a partyhat were those that have gotten a lot of vouches and or been in a position of great trust/power (aka staff members) so why not just alltogether ban partyhat sales to prevent any further chances to do such a thing.

Well what about those legit people that sell/buy partyhats?

Well if you want to buy a partyhat, then buy gold in incrememnts and just buy a partyhat in the game market. If you want to sell a partyhat, then do the same, sell it in game and then sell of the gold in increments.

Partyhats + ofcourse cracker.
It would greatly discourage those that are patient and waiting for their moment to abuse what has been given to them over time, respect.

I would list all those that have managed to do this already but it is a huge list.

Party hats are hard to buy in GE and saying people scam can be applied to RSGP or any other thing that holds al ot of value.

 

1. No one sells partyhats in G.e im talking in world 1/2 which everyone is buying and selling not to mention on the forum.
2. RSGP sales you can buy in increments to prevent being scammed all 1 huge lump.

Please come up with actual reasons why this would be a bad idea...

 

Just use a trusted Middleman/OMM to prevent scams.

 

Most people keep their gold stock in the form of party hats. No support, people just need to trade safer.

Saying we should ban Phat sales is like saying nobody should be able to sell 1b+, it cripples the market and is a bad idea overall.

It's my honest opinion, If I completely disagree I can voice that.

Also for the "increments" for certain payments methods it would work, but for PP (probs the most widely used payment method) you would just charge back at the end, which means with your idea there would be no PP allowed, crippling the market. There is no way to rid of scammers completely without crippling the entire market.

No support, people in power have the option to scam other things besides party hats, and things such as rares can at times be hard to find, even on w1/w2, especially the former. You haven't outlined a decent reason why partyhats should not be allowed to be sold, yet things such as max shards or a cracker could.

 

This is probably the stupidest suggestion I've read on this forum to date. No support. It makes no sense whatsoever, and is literally pointless.

Yes I did read it. If someone in power/not in power wants to scam then they will scam regardless if they can do a phat or a large amount of gold or another item.

 

No support. As people have explained top; many people keep their gold stocks ad partyhats and other rares. The negative out way the positive in this situation. So that clarifies my decision.

If someone wants to scam, banning partyhat sales won't stop them. They'll find another way

 

what video said, i can just as easily scam a partyhat as I could scam the rsgp value of a partyhat. Am i going to do this of course not, but im using it as an example. Banning partyhat sales would do nothing as the same person could just as easily scam 1b+ rsgp.

 

I would also like to add, going by your logic that trusted people have scammed partyhats before, they have also scammed GP. So we should also prohibit GP sales. That's the tandem you're on.
