Spam Forum being strangled

You can't simply dismiss it because it's "their fault". I'm sure you wont be so butt-hurt of a thread being deleted to the point where you can't enjoy the SF.

Especially when trying to increase Sythe's user base and community, someone new being harassed or seeing harassment go without punishment, could deter a lot of people who are maybe intimidated by other users they see. I know it's the SF and that's what happens, but there is a line.

Users do not need to directly attack others in order to provoke them. There are many instances where a user can instigate without attacking another member at all.

 

Lol this cracks me up.. So what you are saying corey, is that if I go off and run my mouth to some random Sythe user on say Facebook, then that user runs his mouth back to my on Sythe you wont do anything about it because I influenced it? Yeah I don't think so..

You are not a damn moderator of tinychat or Facebook for arguments sake..
Therefore you only handle problems going on here at Sythe, karma is not an excuse to not handle someones problem, or because they were a prick somewhere else. We are told to follow Sythe rules, and most do when we are on this website, but all those rules disappear when we are on another website, EVEN IF ITS TOWARDS OTHER MEMBERS FROM SYTHE.

So no, you should not, nor should you be aloud, to base your judgement calls off what others have done on external sites.. If there is a problem/rule breaker on Sythe, you deal with it or turn in your Mod title.

There was no serious trolling whatsoever (atleast by the OP of the threads in question) you are allowed to make threads about people in SF. Corey also deleted my post on a scam report about asking him and n4n0 not to handle a report because they have a biased opinion. This, as well as locking all of the Elena threads... Oh and then they both handle it like I asked them not to (I can't see what they're discussing in the staff lounge obviously, but I know they're both participating in it).

You're all a bunch of hypocrites. N4n0 and Corey, you've both trolled people before. Now that it's your good buddy Elena though you need to take action. How about you treat all the users equally and stop trying to protect your her.

I've never once been rude to her in spam forum, but I have seen what other people do, and it's nothing like what other users have had to put up with. Stop fucking abusing your powers and banning people like Magic Arrow for making a thread about a girl.

Here's how I see the whole situation right now and how it can be resolved.

The spam forum is not being "strangled." If anything, it's being saved from a bunch of no-life fags creating over 20 threads about one person. Since when is that glorified on the spam forum? And since when are we permitted to blatantly accuse someone of scamming without proof? So I think everyone should just chill the fuck out until a conclusion is made in the STAFF LOUNGE, and then shut the fuck up about it permanently, whatever the outcome. Sound good?

 

I deleted your post because it was grossly inappropriate. Just because me and N4N0 were the only ones to post on the PUBLIC thread does not mean we were the only ones to post on the SL thread. There are currently 5 staff members involved in it currently, and I'm sure there will be more as more get online.

Do not make a scam report and ask for individual staff members not to partake. That will not happen.

She is not being protected. She simply complained about the threads and they got deleted. If she was feeling harassed and wanted to quit the site of it, that warrants the thread closures. This is the last time I'm going to say it. If anyone feels abused in the spam forum, all they have to do is tell a moderator, and I'm sure it'll be dealt with. The spam forum was made for users to have fun, but not by making others feel like shit.

Also, Magic Arrow wasn't banned for "making a thread about a girl", he was banned for being troublesome after I warned him several times. He was pardoned for this crap and now hes doing it again.

I wanted to add on to my previous post, these members who bitch about the site dieing aren't all in the spam forum. I would consider the feedback/ suggestion forum to be filled with more market bitching people than the spam forum. You can't make an opinion on one section of the forum and generalize the whole community there under a few.

There's a reason these members return to sythe and have stayed legit all these years. The only thing you did by banning Marrow was deter him from holding his reputation on sythe, you didn't convince him he was wrong but instead gave him a reason to leave. These members hold the most trust in most people's eyes and can influence the reputation of others with ease. The way Marrow's situation was handled was horrible, he was told to post on corey's feedback and when he did he was banned. If you guys want to get through to him you should argue his points not ban him from the discussion which I can also refer back to the sting operation where viou was banned from the whole discussion but his points were never actually rebutted against.

Nobodies been trying to stir shit up, it just naturally happened and it was actually instigated by moderator/ Elena's actions not anybody else's so I don't know why the spam section is getting blamed for stirring shit up.

I honestly didn't give a shit about Elena it was just all fun until mods started building up a false impression of her on sythe.

 

Its impossible to argue with Marrow because all he will do is continue to call you a "cocksucking faggot". If he wanted to discuss my actions, he should have made a sensible thread like Jack Goff did. Plain and simple.

So what was the point of calling him a detriment and basically telling a user who has stayed legit for 7 years and contributed his time to better the site to just go and fuck off because people like him aren't wanted on Sythe anymore, you basically gave him a reason to scam and leave.

 

Corey you actually instigated him to get himself banned with that comment, if you had told him to take some time to cool off it would have been a lot better than bashing him in public and tarnishing his reputation.

 

I told him he was a detriment to this site because of all the stupid threads he was posting. I'm sure he will get over it.

 

Is this the example Mods should be giving to users, aren't mods suppose to show a good example of how others should act on the site?

Telling someone that they are a detriment to the site (which he was last night, not saying he is all the time), is not flaming.

I genuinely believe that Magic Arrow can be a good user when he wants to be, he was a staff member for a while and did a great job. However, he also conducts himself grossly sometimes, although I am guilty of that myself.

I'll unban Magic Arrow, but I hope he doesn't choose to go on a rampage like last night.

why is someone who has been on sythe for 2 weeks is placed over members who have valiantly served sythe for years.

 

Detriment is just a nice way of saying we don't want people like "you" here. Which to be honest can interpret to being a threat to the site. Its just the same as instead of saying whore you say a money hungry woman who will expose her body to reach her goals. This whole thing was a mess and the community isn't alone to blame and even now Elena's report is still being held above and beyond what similar situations have resulted in. If any other person with her join date, post count and market involvement was reported with the same evidence they would have been immediately banned even her report the person was banned before she even fulfilled the scam report requirement.

I don't know what it is but she has half the staff team on a leash.
