Spam Forum being strangled

Anyways this isent going anywhere I think the bottom like is Once a user complains that the fun is over, everyone should just stop talking about it, even tho the user started it. There should also be something stickied that says " please dont post pictures or anything personal in this forum if you don't want it to be a topic of discussion weather that be good or bad" i think that will keep a load of confusion down, but closing threads just wont do it.

 

Its not fair to blame certain individuals when the whole situation was instigated from those pictures. Those pictures in the signatures are creating a false bond between you guys and the user. You do not know her and she does not know you apart from the forums but others may believe differently and may think you have a closer relation to her. She has hit the market in a lot better position than smurf did in the whole time he was here. Its already been proven they shared an account in the past and it is suspicious one account requested a ban once the other became active but this is a different point so whats wrong with questioning it in the spam forum? Its not like he posted it on the actual gold shop.

 

I just read this whole thread and I'm going to reply to some of the posts.

I do not moderate out of emotion rather than logic. If you're trying to say that I handled this out of emotion you're very wrong. Elena approached me telling me that she didn't like some of the threads that were posted about her in the Spam Forum, so I went through and deleted/locked those which I felt were causing problems. I would have done this for any user had they contacted me.

You say we're protecting her because shes a girl, this is not true. However, what is true is that you guys created this whole shitstorm in the spam forum because she is a girl. Plain and simple.

Magic Arrow got banned for 3 days because he doesn't know when to stop. I warned him and he kept posting needless threads, no doubt because he was mad, but there was no need for it and it needed to stop.

Every thread I closed was closed for a reason. They were all causing problems, plain and simple.

Yes, people have been harassed far worse than Elena has been, however she is the only one to ever come to me and tell me she has a problem with it. Had anyone else done this, I would have helped them out in the same way, hands down.

5. I had nothing to do with Virus or any other the other cases you guys are talking about, so I won't be commenting on it, nor should it effect your view on me, but rather those involved if anything bad did infact happen.

This is just a prime example of how certain people thinks its ok to try and make new users quit when they are the first to complain that the site is dying. Helping people by closing negative threads about them in an attempt to make them not leave the site is hardly our biggest problem here.

A lot of people attend just about every tinychat party, is there something wrong with that? Its called trying to make friends.

I've already answered this but I'll do it again. We do treat people equally, or at least I do. If any other user had come to me explaining that they had a problem with certain negative threads being made against them, I would have put an end to it.

This is true, those threads were doing no good, so they were deleted/locked and as per the rules, if they keep getting posted, you will be punished.

Next time come to me personally if you feel like people are treating you unfairly. I will gladly sort them out for you.

The guy makes two threads, both threads trying to sell the same account. In one post he claims to be Tyler, then in another claims to be Elena (Skype names).

Either sharing or Tyler made both and just gave them Elena's Skype for whatever reason.

No, but that's Tyler's account and he uses a Skype name with the word Elena in it. Obviously an older one of hers.

Tinychat isn't this forum, so I don't particularly care what goes on in there. Forums should be moderated the same for each person, regardless of what they say through a different medium, as the jurisdictions change off this website.

You're missing the point. He asked for help but none was given due to the influence of words that were had off site, outside of this forum.

 

He harassed people on tinychat then complained that he was being harassed because nobody liked him for what he said. Thats karma if I ever heard it. Plus, I'm fairly certain that there were no threads dedicated to flaming him that are still active, and if there are, link me and ill close them.

It doesn't change the fact that he shouldn't have done what he did.

Anyway, lets try to sway back to the matter at hand please.

 

And yet she's done nothing to attack other users, so I don't see your point. She was being harassed when she did nothing to provoke it. He on the other hand, was provoking it all. Again, you're just looking for something to whine about.

Sorry but the point of contention here is bringing something upon themselves, at least that's what I thought. I don't honestly remember her ever being flamed, in fact the people supporting her like pussy starved losers were.

 

There's a difference between SF banter and crossing the line to the point where someone genuinely does feel harassed. If someone complains about harassment, I think some sort of action should be taken. Even if it's just deleting said thread. I do think it's unfair other cases have been overlooked when I think I'd feel pretty shit if I were in that user's position.

Definitely something to look at.

 

Well if you open yourself up for harassment it should be allowed if you don't want to be harassed then I believe you should take action and protect yourself to where no one can harass you.
