Some of the backgrounds are in .jpeg plus it'd be nice if the winning background is 1980x1080 (if it isn't already), the current one is based on smaller resolutions.

I've placed my vote for #2.

 

Yeah put them all in .png as it is much higher quality and for the final a higher resolution would be awesome.

I voted #2 also. The comets make it the most interesting visually.

#1 looks to blurry/out of focus.
#2 has 3 moons which killed it for me.
#3 looks nice, but just has to much going on for my taste.

Damn just saw all entries have 2 votes each, as of now.

 

They should all have the board on it so we can see what the finished product looks like. This will be the downfall for the other applicants. I voted for #2.

The resolution on some of em seem kinda off. Like they're grainy or somethin.

 

Voted #1 because it's not so crazy as the second one. The second one looks decent with the logo in place, but without it, it shows how over sharpened and how much of an eye strain it is to look at. Not to mention the edges aren't a solid color. Therefore, screens with resolutions larger than the background image will get a hard edge where the background image ends and a default solid background color begins to fill the space.

 

Overall, I think number 2 is the best choice

 

If it wins I'm sure he would be more than happy to make adjustments to it.

 

The idea is people don't know whose which, so now everyone knows who made #1, which could influence the voting.

IMHO #2 is the best purely because of the asteroids, they give it a more spacy feel than just stars.

 

I'm not voting on what will happen after the competition though, I'm voting for what I see, as should everyone

Placed my vote on 3. No favouritism here ladies and gents!

 

I like 4's simplicity. I dont like 2 much at all, its just too much.

 

#1 is just disappointing, #2 is a giant color-dodge mess #3 is ok, but some of the stars feel weird and it doesn't blend well. I'm forced to pick #4 even though I don't particularly like it either, simply since it would integrate the best.
