Want to make my own computer.

Ok my top budget is around £400 which is $600, would probably go more if worth it.

I don't game to the extreme but I do play games, I just want a cool looking good and fast running pc (fast as in, not as slow as this shit).

I've wanted a pc for ages now cause I've grown to hate laptops.

So what are the items I need and are they hard to build?
I'm a pc retard, but my mate who is kinda good at computing shit is gonna help me do it, just need advice really on shit.

If some-one could go through the English eBay and link me a complete setup of everything needed and advice on shit I would be so fucking greatful, but obviously I don't expect anyone tooo, all help appreciated.

Want to make my own computer.

    Cpu, i3 3220 or i3 3225
    Gpu, sapphire 7770
    Ram, 8gb 1600
Mobo, gigabyte or something p77/z77 lga 1155
    Hdd, 1TB

    Like 110+100+35+90+75=410 pounds I think.

Then a case for 60 and psu 430/500w for 60 makes 530 pounds for a pretty good pc.

Sounds cool, but me and my mate just looked into it and planned a alright one for like £300, besides, £530 is a lot, cause I still have to buy a moniter and desk, and I'm 17 on minimum wage, I don't want a awesome pc obviously but a alright one that has a cool case

Grabbed some parts based off of Runescape's build, differences will be a 500gb HDD and micro atx b75 chipset motherboard. Can always upgrade the motherboard but really there's not much of a need. Can bump you up to 1TB HDD if you needed.

Nope. Has hardly any gaming capabilities due to not having a discrete graphics card, only has Intel HD 2000. Only thing about it is that is has a nice processor, enough ram, and 1tb hdd.

I currently own a computer with an i3-2120 processor and it works excellently. I haven't got it to 100% usage doing things I usually do, which is gaming with skype/chrome open.

Want to make my own computer.

    Yup, never go with pre-builds!
Here's a comparison between what I suggested vs the pre-built you linked:-
    CPU:
Pre-built: i5 2320, basic quad core clocked at 3.0 GHz with a turbo boost of 3.3 GHz which the pre-built lied about saying it's 3.3, which is the turbo boost of the processor.. the CPU is based on the older Sandy Bridge architecture and supports intel HD Graphics 2000.
My suggestion: i3 3220, a nice dual core, clocked at 3.3 GHz, no turbo boost technology, it's true that this CPU is a dual core, but it has hyper threading technology which allows Windows/OS to see it as a quad core, so 2 physical core/ 4 logical cores.. the CPU is based on the newer Ivy Bridge architecture and supports intel HD Graphics 2500.

    Motherboard:

Pre-built: they haven't said anything about which is the point, pre-builts always put a well-known CPU and a large Hard drive, but the hard drive are lower quality most of the times, same with CPUs, older generations.. so this goes with the motherboard too, you're getting an i5, true, but where is the i5 going to be put in? an old motherboard? and older socket? yeah! you will most likely get a bad motherboard.

My suggestion: A nice quality AsRock Micro-ATX motherboard, supports up to 16GB of RAM, PCIe 3.0, and alot more, so definitely the winner is the AsRock one.

    HDD:
Pre-Built: yeah, 1TB HDD, but seriously, who knows how good is't? HDD's aren't capacity only! You're probably getting a 5400/5900RPM Drive, unknown brand, SATA II....
My suggestion: yup, 500GB, half of a TB, but, I'm sure it's better quality, 7200RPM, 16MB of Cache Buffer etc, must be better, do you really need a 1TB drive? pay abit more and get it!

    RAM:
Pre-built: 8GB of RAM, who knows what speed? probably 1333 and maybe even 1066, you don't want that slow of RAM, and I'm almost sure it doesn't have a heatsink so overclocking is kind of impossible.
My suggestion: Same amount, 8GB, but 1600MHz, fancy and powerful heatsink, Corsair is well-known for good RAM, so you know what you're getting!

    PSU & Case:
Pre-built: The case isn't a good one, no front ports like USB or headphone/mic or anything.. just a normal case.. for the PSU I had a pre-built and it had integrated GPU, same as the one you suggested, guess what PSU I got with it?
A chinese one that is 250watts..
My suggestion: The case is pretty nice! USB ports and audio ports (headphone, mic) 500Watt PSU, I'm not sure if it's that good of a PSU but it should be better than the pre-built's one.

    GPU:
Pre-built: integrated, old, slow graphics, can't run RS on med.
My suggestion: Dedicated powerful GPU, nice heatsinks, well known brand, highly overclockable, runs ANY game maxed out!

    Accesories and OS:
Only the pre-built has accesories and OS, well, OS is windows, it's good. but for the accesories, a cheap mouse and a cheap normal keyboard.

    Hope I helped you choose!
