    Hemorrhoids? :-S

Serious question guys and anyone who comes and posts crap will be reported.

Basically two years ago i noticed blood in my stool's. It was only one time and i thought nothing off it. Last year it happened again and i rung up the local medical hotline "NHS Direct" (British people will understand) and since it had only happened once and also only happened one time again they said not to worry about it and if it happened again, to then go to the doctors.

I've noticed blood in my stools again and its now happened for a straight week. I will be going to the doctors next week, as my mother is home and even though I'm 23 (yes i still live at home, was a uni student till last June), she is extremely over protective of me.

I have been doing some research and believe it to more than likely be hemorrhoids, as it is painless but will obviously check it with a doctor first.

I am just wondering if anyone here has had it and if they would let me know if it is lifetime or will stop, and also what it is like dealing with it. If you do want to help, but don't want to let other members know then i am also happy to discuss through private messages.

    Thank you

    Lord LaLa

I've read about a bit and it seems it can vary. It depends on what "grade" of hemorrhoid you're diagnosed with. For some, they never return and for others they can reappear and never be eliminated. As long as you do get yourself to the doctor, you should catch them at an early stage and be able to get rid of it, although not for certain.

You'll have to watch what you eat, increasing fluid and fibre intake to avoid causing them again. Hemorroids are essentially varicose veins caused by things such as constipation, and therefore you may need to take laxitives regularly. It can itch too, meaning you'll probably need to put cream on it also.

You'll only know once you've been checked how severe they are. I'm sorry I don't have a whole load of knowledge, but I hope that helps.

I think I can help you out man.

Basically what your hemorrhoids are are veins in your anal area. The problem is they become swollen or they become enlarged at your anal opening. This can be caused by applying pressure to the veins in your anus. Whenever you are applying this pressure such as pushing to defecate those small but vital fragile veins fill with blood. Which is ok but whenever you apply to much pressure it fill them to much they stretch or swell, the little platelets then began to spill blood to relieve pressure, the outlets are so small they it causes no pain but maybe Little burning sensation. Most likely any bleeding from your anal cavity is hemorrhoids, unless there are other things you aren't telling.

You're saying it's painless, but don't hemorrhoids hurt?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Then again it could be the different types.
Visiting the doctor is your best option when it comes to something like hemorrhoids. I know this can be embarassing but when my mom had them, her doctor had to make a small incision and drain the fluid as they were swollen. Sometime as simple as applying a cream will help. Good luck mate.

Yes depending on what specific kind you have it could be painful but mostly not. The burning sensation is what gets most people.

Go to the doctors, and they'll prescribe you with either some cream, or suppositories called Germoloids. I wouldn't suggest asking for medical advice here, find a professional. It's free.

Thanks for the posts guys, will get it checked out next week. Hopefully it is only something like Hemorrhoids, as although its permanent it is not health threatening rather than the most extreme causes ive check out.

Just going to throw is out there but there were adverts on TV not too long ago saying "Blood in your stool?" and it was advert for bowl cancer..
Probably best not to think it's that, but I just thought I'd say that as you don't know for sure what it is until you ave been diagnosed.

Yea, thats one of the things i saw, worries me, but best get it checked out first. Hopefully its not that as one of the symptoms is pain which i dont have which is why im hoping for the best option which is hemorrhoids. Also to the above comment about if im with-holding any information. Nope, everything i've posted is the right things. I'm straight and will not/have not/nor ever will have any anal intercourse/penetration.

    Hemorrhoids? :-S

Lemme know what happens, had this shit at college a month or two ago. Lasted for a few weeks, scarred the shit out of me, tons of blood and I had like another "asshole" where the vein actually appeared. Scary shit.

Hasn't happened since on break, but the vein is still appearing through the flesh.
