Definitely build your own. For a budget of $800, you will be able to easily get a great rig. I don't currently have the time to put a build together and link the parts, but this forum has some very dedicated users who will be sure to help you out more than I can. If I get a minute, I'll put together a parts list for you.

$690 before tax and shipping which depends on where you live. Great for even battlefield 3 at high settings.

If you have a hard drive, optical drive, power supply (At least 500 watts), or case you can save money and not get the ones I listed. I recommend getting a 120gb Corsair neutron gtx ssd for your boot drive + a few games. If you want a better gpu you can upgrade to a nvidia gtx 660 or 660 ti.

Found some nice sales for things like the case, memory, GPU..
So, here you go, it's damn good for the price! I have that GPU, I OC'd it to 1085mhz, you can get a 64GB SSD/ do what Killswitch said (use your old HDD and get a 120GB SSD).
