Infractions.

the double standard of giving out infractions lately has bothered me. Ive witnessed several threads in the spam forum and outside of it. Were mods have spammed, trolled, flamed others. Yet they dont infract eachother and choose when to infract others. Sometimes it almost feels like mods get a hard on for certian users and go out of their way just to find reasons to infract. I thought about disputing the infractions but after talking to a active mod. Its come to my attention that mods dont care about infractions. There not deemed important and i was asked to just let it go. I think there needs to be a change, or atleast a higher priority towards infractions or the disputing of them. Maybe even its own section for disputing them. The standard i hear is to send a pm to the mod who infracted you. I think thats retarded, lie if you want but every1 has their own feelings towards others. I believe those feelings cloud judgement and need to be reviewed by others. i know everyones gonna say its just infractions they expire n go away. Yet many have been permed for build up infractions.

i was infracted for my post to yarrows in the spam forum. Yet he flames me n tells me hes gonna kick my teeth in yet no infraction for him dave? double standard dick.

i was infracted for wasting yarrows time. I find this funny because i pm'd the asshole 3 days previously and he ignored my pm. After we exchanged words in the spam forum were i made him look a idiot. he decided to pm me. I exchanged 2 pms with him n told him to leave me the fuck alone. He then infracted me for wasting his time because i ignored his last 2 pm;s to me n continued with my spam forum rants. I believe yarrows infracted me out of anger n not the good of the site. Abuse of power?

You realise besides spam forums including donator lounge and community section forums are open to that sort of behavior as long as its not off hand. Mods/Admins always listen to your PM's. It is a offence to their protocol not to explain the specific reasoning of the infraction and is disputable. Just read the rules and you will realise they are just following it.

 

seriously though moderators need to loosen the fuck up around here. this forum honestly has the strictest infraction rules on the internet.

yall gotta stop infracting just for the sake of being able to infract (aka more mod activity recorded). you're a moderator because you like to help out the community not to fulfill your own agenda. if you retain your position for the latter then i would like to kindly ask you on behalf of the sythe community to fuck off.

You can come off as a little abrasive sometimes Hattez but from what I've seen from the spam forum posts I don't think it deserves an infraction (I haven't seen the PM's though)

 

i will honestly say this is the first time ive ever agreed with u. I feel the same way.

we all know which mod u are talking about. This happens to those who receive power for the first time. It goes to their head. Usually it blows up on their face and i can hope for nothing less in his case.

 

yeah and im actually trying to change my ways on here. Im a ass and i know it but i usually keep it to the spam forum. My new hattez thread was serious.

 

Ye it didn't really deserve an infraction, Mods are here to help and you shouldn't be infracted for wasting there time its there job to answer your questions or at least help you out, now with that being said we have to right to go off the deep end and harassed them but as Jack Goff said we don't know what went on in the Pm's the infraction may be justified, but also yes if a Mod is having a bad day they shouldn't go Infraction Crazy.

 

Did you ask for a second opinion from another moderator? That's kind of the next thing you do when your infraction dispute is denied or you want another opinion on it.

 

i have no problem posting the entire pm between me and yarrows it has nothing to do with what was said. It had everything to do with me ignoring his pm's and continuing to make him look like a ass in his beloved'd spam forum. His pride and ego were hurt period. thats what the infraction was about.

Well if that be the case then yes he was wrong but I personally know Yarroow a bit and i doubt thats the case, just dosent seem like him.

i understand were your coming from. Yet from your join date of oct 2012 i have to disagree with you knowing yarrow. He has changed since his promotion to mod. Hes always been a dick you just had to visit the spam forum before his promotion and you'd know what i was talking about.

 

Now you could get one for a double post. I personally have noticed that I've been ALOT more relaxed on infractions, especially in report a spammer.

Now if you have an issue with infractions, I haven't gone through all of yours but either you can try address it with the person who gave it to you or spoke to a global+.

 

If you don't like an infraction you have received, PM the mod who gave it.
If you still don't like the answer, PM a global. Then an admin if you once again don't like the answer.

I personally would have labelled that as spam. However different mods moderate their sections differently. Community General is generally more laid back, as that section is more for the community, so fun little post are obviously posted every now and then. It's when people take the piss and say "lol" or "cough" or what ever spam posts in a ton of threads and it holds no relevance to the thread what so ever.

You can vouch who ever you want to vouch.

Flame is allowed in the spam forum, however only to a certain extent. Saying one would kick someones teeth in is nothing..


As for the rest of your thread, you clearly have some little feud of your own with Yarrow.. As a mod myself I get a stupid amount of PM's and I may miss one or two. It's not uncommon for a PM to be missed.

He also explained himself in a PM and you still seem to be butt hurt over it.

My advice to you is to man up and stop bitching about useless things like this.

Well in my opinion now the way your talking you deserved the infraction, how your shooting everyone down whose not aggreeing with you. SMG big deal out of nothing enjoy your infraction.

 

I had a similar problem, recieved a "Private" Infraction PMed the moderator who was involved yet he still hasn't replied.

 

Sythe has been like that since day once, once people get promoted they think they are hot shit because they have the ability to infract (yaroow)
