[Guide] Disabling JAG for an account transfer.

This guide was made to help the numerous members of this community I noticed having trouble with this new feature provided by Jagex.



First of all, let me say this; no matter what you do the questions will always be on the account after you set it up. They will be required to activate/de-activate JAG at any point.


Step one to Removing JAG is to log in to the account control panel.



The next step is to expand the Jagex Account Guardian section(click the + in the big red circle).


This is where it will get complicated, next you have to click on the button that says and I quote "Disable Jagex Account Guardian" which will also be in my big red circle.


After you have clicked that Jagex will send you an e-mail instruction you on how to finish the process. There will be a link in that e-mail you must follow as shown below.


After you click the link you will be prompted to log in again, then you will come to the five questions you established as your security questions. You must answer all five correctly to disable this device. I repeat, you must answer ALL five correctly for it to be disabled.

After you Answer all five and click submit correctly then you will see the page below.


Congratulations, you have disabled this device to make life easier during an account transfer.

Heed this warning though buyers, verify that all five answers work after transferring the account to your e-mail address. I do not recommend buying an account that the owner does not know the answers to, it typically will be an account that they bought and/or intend to recover.​

 

I also suggest to FIRST disable JAG then Delete email, if you first delete E-Mail then disable JAG your account will get "blocked" , not locked, because noone will be able to logon it , only on forums

 

I was hoping that part was a no brainer. xD
