Signature Question!

Hello, I have a quick question about a signature that I just made.

I checked on the official Sythe rules and it said that the max signature size is 650x350.

Now here is the problem..

When I go to upload my signature this is the error that I keep getting:
"The Dimension limits for this filetype are 500 x 100. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 650 x 350."

Now I'm not exactly an expert or anything when it comes to graphics, but isn't 500x100 incredibly small?

 

Where are you trying to upload it to? You need to upload it to an image host like imgur and then wrap

 

It even says this? S:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

 

Go to imageshack



Click #1 and select your image and press ok

Then click #2 and upload it

It should take you to a screen like this



The circled code is what you want to copy and paste into the sig area

I've already tried that. Just for the hell of it I tried it again though, this time I got a message saying "the remote file is too large" :/ I tried a smaller image and that didn't work either.

 

No, it shows up as a broken image for me. Are you sure that the image you are trying to use is 350 px tall? It looks pretty tall. It's weird though, try imgur to see if it works (in your sig and in a post). Double check you are using the forum code.

 

Alright awesome, my signature randomly appeared..didn't do a single thing and it took a half hour plus.

Now my other (new) issue..obviously when I try to use an image in a thread it isn't working. Clearly there is something going on here..

This is the code I'm using: minus the spaces.

edit: Oh Jesus Christ...now when I go to edit a url into my signature its telling me "the remote file is too large" again :/

Wondering if something is just messed up and if I come back later it'll fix itself.

 

Oh I see you are using the wrong code. http://imgur.com/ttGlJ is a link to the gallery whereas the correct link would be http://i.imgur.com/ttGlJ.jpg , right click any image and click copy img URL. To quickly see if you have the right URL copy it into your browser and if it takes you to a white screen with just the image then its correct. If it goes anywhere else, then its incorrect.

 

Alright, that got everything working!

Still think early on either my computer/sythe was messing up a bit but everything seems to be working now. Thanks for that last post especially Jack Goff!
