Threads closed, not moved.

Just wondering, once a thread is reported to be in the wrong section, instead of is simply being closed, causing mass amounts of closed cluttered threads, why don't they get moved aswell to their appropriate section, after being closed. I know some mods don't have perms in that section to move it, but why don't mods that have perms move them after?

Just wondering. (Referring to the Misc Rs Trades section).

 

Because it's so hard you know, locking and moving the thread. Sheesh we ask too much.

 

Or better yet, move the thread and keep it open?

 

Some mods dont have the perms to move it, and can only close (i assume).

 

Biggest offender of this I've seen is the weasel, who is global.

 

its holiday season. cut them some slack....

 

This doesn't even make sense in the context of the thread. It's like 2 extra clicks to move something.

Plus it's not even a recent thing.

 

many mods are on vaction or busy so im guessing their to busy or maybe just forgot about it....

why are ppl stressing about this?? its dec 25th for christ sake!

 

I'm not stressing lol. Nor is this a complaint. I'm not referring to the timing of it either, I'm asking, why is it done that way lol.

You're the one who needs to relax and understand there are reasons they do this. Could be a permission issue or could just be routine.

 

Been brought up 2 million times. Its mods discretion for one and for two its 10x faster not to move anything. I almost never move threads in the wrong section either as they will eventually be knocked off the front page so its a waste of time.

This comes up every few months and the answer will never change, no harm done though.
