Laptop Video Card

I want to change it. The model is an ASUS Notebook U43 Series and the graphics card is Intel HD Graphics (Core i5)

Nope. Unfortunately, your graphics card is onboard your processor, and that is completely unchangeable, unless you upgrade your processor itself. If your processor is a 2nd-gen sandy bridge processor, then you can upgrade to a 3rd-gen Ivy bridge processor, which carries Intel's current top-end integrated solution...the Intel HD4000. Before the processor upgrade, though, you'll likely have to upgrade to the latest BIOS, or have your BIOS modded to support the new components/features. search PREMA BIOS MODS.... Prema is a very friendly guy who, if you post a copy of your BIOS, he will mod it for you free.
As far as a dedicated graphics card solution goes, you can't do anything about it. You're stuck with the integrated graphics solution, as your motherboard doesn't carry an MXM interface. MXM is basically like the PCI-express interface on a desktop, which is simply where you plug the graphics card into in order to use it. ASUS is known for not carrying the MXM interface in ANY of their laptops, so what you buy is what you get. Only top-end Sagers/clevos, some MSi's, and top-end Alienwares carry an MXM interface, which allows complete upgradeability of the graphics card.

Perhaps for those who are mechanical idiots(incapable of turning a single screwdriver, and repasting a GPU) then it may not be worth their time...IF they had a MXM-based GPU in their laptop.

BUT, if you're half-assed decent at anything mechanical at all, then you can replace a GPU in a laptop. It's not hard, so there's not any real effort. And it doesn't take long, so I don't know why you would say it's not worth the time.

I can change the GPU in my gaming laptop out in under 20 minutes, start to finish. So, what's the problem with that?
