Can buying too much rsgp actually get you banned?

So this is the deal.. lately I've been buying big amounts of gold, i would say probably about 1.3b over the past 3 weeks. Im wondering if jagex actually bans for RWT, has anyone here ever been banned for buying gp or transferring it into another account? I actually just started thinking about it and now I'm pretty paranoid that my main will get banned and ill lose all my gp along with it..

 

There's been an increase in rollbacks recently, or so I've heard. Being a part of this market takes chance, though. If you don't wanna risk it, don't continue to RWT. As simple as that in my opinion.

 

Ahh yeah i think ill stop, i don't want to get rolled back, however at times i can't seem to take jagex seriously and believe he sure won't do anything about this problem :l

 

If you want a certain amount just spread it out over say one month or two if you're worried.
And yes they do ban/roll back peoples accounts.

Has jagex ever wiped out anyone's cash stack or rolled anyone back, haven't heard of that tbh

 

You can buy gold, spend it on something and than when u run out of gold buy some more. Or if you sell it just wait to run out of stock before buying more.

 

It's more due to faults of the seller. If the seller is doing large amounts of trades on one account then you're at a higher risk of being rolled back. That's why I'd suggest not using chinese companies etc.

So stick with the low key sellers and avoid the big names? I've heard very little but yeah, I've heard he's targeting main sellers

 

Receiving money through a set-up duel or flower game is your best bet. By no means avoid big names, just make sure the accounts they're using are different mules every now and then, most sellers will be aware of this anyway. All I mean is, trading through someone trusted on Sythe is probably better than going direct through a website like gold4fun. Personal contact with the seller is a valuable thing.

 

How do they detect your purchasing the gold ? do they check the trades and the amount traded etc

I've had billions change hands and never had a problem. Being a member helps you avoid rollbacks, all Jagex cares about is getting their handout.

Same account, although it's usually the sellers that have to be careful, there have been some more rollbacks on buying accounts.

However if you turn your gold into items and play actively and are a member..it seems you avoid rollbacks easily.

Most of the rollback stories I've heard peoples low level, NON MEMBER accounts are the ones getting rolled.

 

Got you, that relieves me a bit. Just have to remain member and keep playing. Do you know if I run a risk whatsoever multi logging and transferring gp? Or do the same principles apply; be an active player and be mem?

 

I've never even gotten an infraction or warning from doing all of the things you're saying. I've dealt with billions and billions too. The only advice I can give is don't go too big at once if it can be avoided, I usually spread mine out to like 500m or so a day maximum...but in the age of staking and loans to other people, it's not easy for Jagex to detect actual wrongdoing. If there's the benefit of the doubt and Jagex sees you're paying them...this probably helps your chances at avoiding a rollback.

Honestly, I would not be worried about a rollback..They usually only target incredibly wealthy users and people they believe to be distributors not buyers. Obviously this is all speculation..but there aren't that many rollbacks..otherwise all these big gun sellers would be gone.

I would not worry at all dude, especially if you buy items with that GP and you're spreading out your buying time like you said.

As for an actual ban, yeah...there's next to no chance you're going to actually lose your account. Worst case scenario you're looking at is probably a rollback, and it might not even rollback your items, just your GP. The only rollbacks I've heard of are GP losses.

While it exists..I wouldn't worry about it at all. I've dealt with probably 15 billion on the same account doing just vanilla trades most of the time (no flower game or duel arena)..and haven't been rolled, infracted, warned, or anything.

I don't worry about it too much...while there's a chance of it happening to anyone...the odds are small.
