    Question about Hardware Upgrade

Hey guys, I just have a quick question.

What kind of upgrades would I need to make to my system if I wanted to run three games of League of Legends on minimum settings simultaneously on a Windows XP Virtual Machine (one game per window of the VM, so three operating systems on at once)?

    I appreciate any help :)

    CPU: i5-3570k
    PSU: 600w
    GPU: none
    RAM: 8gb Single Channel
    thanks!

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

I think everything is one so get a mid level GPU like a 7750 or 6670.

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

Thank you for the response but I have to point out that I'm trying to play three games on three different accounts on four different operating systems at once. My integrated graphics take care of a regular game.

    Thank you :)

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

All I can think of is another 8gigs of ram? CPU should be more then enough to handle it imo. :/
If you've got a Z77/Z68 board grab a Hyper 212+/evo and OC the cpu to 4.2-4.5 aswell that should help.

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

Since LoL can and does utilize the GPU, that could increase performance.

But different operating systems, especially under VM is a heavy CPU load. Not quite sure that i5 will handle that.
Unless of course you don't mind lag.

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

Lag shouldn't be an issue as I won't be playing.

So: VM set up with 3 windows, each one has an actual game of LoL running.

Even if I were to overclock my CPU to ~4.0 (I have decent cooling) and add a decent GPU (+8gb RAM even) this may not work?

Or if it would, any suggestions for Graphics Cards?

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

I would definately get another stick of 8gb ram (same as your current one) to put them in dual channel.

For a graphics card, I would probaly get a Radeon HD 7850 2gb.

Those things together should allow you to run 3 clients on 1 PC I think. If you are going to play other games or just one LoL client you can max out most games with that graphics card.

    Question about Hardware Upgrade

I can actually max LoL with only my processor.

Thank you for the advice though! I may try that out.
